In March, it was announced that Redpath (Australia) Holdings Pty Ltd (Redpath), a wholly owned subsidiary of Redpath Mining Inc., had signed a share purchase agreement to acquire RUC Mining Contractors Pty Ltd (RUC). We are pleased to share that this acquisition has received regulatory approval, and RUC has now formally joined the Redpath business.

We are taking a phased approached to this integration, and Redpath and RUC are committed to ensuring there is no disruption to project operations as we transition towards operating as one business.

Combining the strengths of the two businesses will streamline how we service customers, enhance our service offering, and provide more opportunities for employees so that we attract, develop and retain the industry’s best talent.

As always, safety remains our number one priority as we work through the integration process.

Redpath (Australia) Holdings Pty Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Redpath Mining Inc., has signed a share purchase agreement to acquire RUC Mining Contractors Pty Ltd (RUC).

Pending regulatory approvals, we expect the agreement to be completed and for RUC to officially become part of Redpath by June 2024.

This agreement is evidence of the quality of service and expertise Redpath sees across the RUC team, and our combined capabilities and expanded footprint will be a compelling proposition to customers, and will provide more opportunities for our employees. 🚀

RUC were proud sponsors of the Tasmanian Rock Drilling Championships that took place in Rosebery over the weekend.

The championships were part of the Rosebery Carnival and featured highly skilled and experienced drillers displaying an age-old mining method that many may not experience in today’s mines.

The strength of these operators is nothing short of impressive.

RUC Mining is proud to introduce PowerCom, an innovative solution that is set to redefine communication in underground mining. Utilising Power Line Communication (PLC) technology to efficiently transmit data through existing mine power cables from the surface to the face.

Raising awareness of psychosocial hazards and the importance of mental health in the workplace is crucial for our Project Team. During the week 13-17 November 2023, instructors from MATES in Mining (Australia’s leading industry su***de prevention organisation) provided training to our teams to recognise when our colleagues may be in need of assistance.

Our newest ‘Connectors’ are volunteers from throughout our diverse workforce who have been trained to keep someone safe in a mental health crisis, whilst at the same time connecting them to professional help.

Yesterday, our vigilant Appin team were closely monitoring a nearby grassfire encroaching upon our site. Thanks to the incredible efforts of our local firefighters, who brought the situation quickly under control. As a result, normal operations have resumed.

We are immensely thankful for the bravery and dedication of the fireys who worked tirelessly to protect our community. 🙏🚒

RUC Mining is making significant steps forward in the construction of the VS7 and VS8 Ventilation Shafts at the Appin Shaft Project. As we recently achieved a significant milestone on the project, with the successful removal of the first kibble (bucket) from the VS8 shaft.

In addition, there have been notable developments in the form of the modular headframe assemblies and the mobilisation of the 400-ton crane for headframe er****on.

This multi-faceted scope showcases RUC’s experience and capability as a turnkey Contractor, delivering on D&C Contracts.

Congratulations to the RUC Raisebore crews at Renison and everyone at Bluestone Mines Tasmania Joint Venture on this awesome pilot hole breakthrough for the 1665 raise…spot on target!

This pilot hole broke through on the 12th of June and was 384m long with an average pe*******on rate at approximately 9m/day.

This hole will be reamed to 5m in diameter and will form the second leg of the Renison fresh air supply to the Area 5 and Leatherwood orebodies, greatly improving working conditions and setting up the mine for the future.

Again, well done to all involved at RUC and Bluestone!
