📖 Indigenous Literacy Day!
Today we celebrate the stories, cultures and languages of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and the continued creation and sharing of First Nations literature.

Through our longstanding partnerships with the Clontarf Foundation, Stars Foundation and Starlight Children's Foundation Australia’s Healthier Futures Initiative, we are proud to support the important work these organisations do to foster self-determination, strengthen cultural connections, and build confidence and engagement in education for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students across the country.

On Indigenous Literacy Day, we also recognise the vital work of The Indigenous Literacy Foundation (ILF) in providing books and learning resources, including those written in First Languages, to children and families in remote communities across Australia. 🏟 Engineering vision shaped by culture and innovation
Rising from the desert north of Doha, Al-Bayt Stadium was developed as a modern interpretation of the traditional Bedouin tent, a symbol of warmth, hospitality and community.

Built to host 60,000 spectators for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, it stands today as one of the world’s most advanced and sustainable sports venues.

Webuild delivered a hyper-technological facility that balances performance with respect for heritage and environment. Its distinctive roof amplifies atmosphere while containing sound, and an advanced cooling system regulates temperatures for players and fans, enabling year-round events even in extreme climates. Water-saving solutions and responsible design earned the project two 5-star GSAS sustainability certifications.

5 (+1) facts about… North East Link
🏗️ The biggest road project in Victoria's history is taking shape in Melbourne. Webuild, as part of the Spark Joint Venture, is delivering the North East Link tunnels primary package.

Once complete, North East Link will fix the missing link in Melbourne's freeway network, reducing congestion, taking thousands of trucks off local roads and improving journeys for communities across the city's north-east.

Webuild, as part of the Spark Joint Venture, is delivering North East Link. The project will take up to 15,000 trucks off local roads every day and reduce travel times by up to 35 minutes for commuters. Once complete, it will be the longest road tunnel in Victoria.

⚽ What a tournament!
From unforgettable rivalries and packed stadiums to community activations and moments that celebrated our Italian heritage, Calcio Italiano has been an incredible week for football in Western Australia.

As a proud Major Event Partner, Webuild was honoured to help bring this landmark event to Perth, connecting communities through sport and celebrating the passion, tradition and excellence that define Italian football.

Spark North East Link has officially poured the final base slab in the northbound ramp at Lower Plenty, a big milestone for the team and the Project, marking the completion of both ramps! Next up is the completion of the remaining structural works before handing over the ramp to the ME&I team for fit out.

Across both ramps, the team has poured more than 23,000 cubic metres of concrete, that’s enough to fill approximately nine Olympic-sized swimming pools!

Over at the Project’s Bulleen site, the team has completed the last base slab, officially closing out the eastern southbound base slab work. Stay tuned for more North East Link milestones.

We commissioned Madeleine Edwards, a proud Jaru artist to create the artwork for our 2026-28 Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). The incredible piece, titled ‘Building Reconciliation Together,’ represents our commitment to creating lasting opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, businesses and communities across Australia.

“At its heart, the piece is about connection. It honours the relationships that make meaningful reconciliation possible - between teams, partners, suppliers, subcontractors and the wider community. It recognises the importance of walking alongside one another, sharing knowledge, listening, and building trust together.” – Madeleine Edward.

🏟 Iconic stadiums. Enduring legacies.
The Stadio Olimpico in Rome stands as a landmark of Webuild's global expertise in delivering world-class sports infrastructure.

Originally completed in 1953, Webuild led a major transformation of the stadium in the lead-up to the 1990 FIFA World Cup, rebuilding the structure in reinforced concrete, bringing spectators closer to the action, and crowning the venue with its signature white tensile roof.

Delivered in under three years, the renewed Stadio Olimpico increased capacity from 54,000 to more than 82,000, becoming one of the world’s top 15 stadiums at the time.

Modern, functional and striking in design, it remains a premier European venue, hosting football, athletics and the prestigious Six Nations rugby tournament.
