Heat Stress in the Pilbara: With soaring temperatures in the Pilbara region, our workers face relentless heat stress. The scorching sun and arid climate amplify the risk of heat-related illnesses, posing a threat to their well-being and productivity. Ensuring access to shaded areas, adequate hydration, and regular breaks becomes paramount to safeguard our workforce.
Flooding Disruptions: Extreme weather events, such as flooding, wreak havoc on the roads connecting our mine sites in the region. Floodwaters render transportation hazardous, disrupting travel routes and posing logistical challenges. Timely communication, contingency planning, and bolstered infrastructure are essential to mitigate the impact of flooding and ensure the safety of our workers navigating these conditions.
