Our estimator shared this photo during the Christmas break with some great backstory:
“Had to get the new Insulmate Ute signage next to where roofing all began for me. My first re-roof project—restoring this old heritage church with a roof pitch over 60°. Every screw was put in using a cherry picker.”

This project holds special meaning for him, and though it predates his time with Insulmate, it’s a testament to the craftsmanship and dedication he brings to every job.

Check out the beautiful new roof on this complex 😍

The units in this complex were experiencing water ingress issues due to an old and worn out asbestos roof. Insulmte were more thn happy to remove the old asbestos roof and install a new Colourbond® Trimdeck roof in Evening Haze 🏠

A ceiling collapse is not something anyone ever wants to experience. Not only do they cause a lot of damage, but they can cause harm to anyone underneath the ceiling when it collapses ⚠️

Ceiling collapse happens when the ceiling boards come away from the timber joists (in the roof) that the boards are adhered to. The ceiling boards may either be screwed into the joists, or strapped to the joists using a mixture of fiberglass material and plaster. Collapse usually occurs due to the deterioration of the strapping or boards coming away from the screws.

The best way to avoid a ceiling collapse is to regularly check your ceilings. Common telltale signs that ceiling sag has started include cracks in the ceiling or cornices, cornices coming away from the walls or screw holes appearing in the ceiling. If you are concerned ceiling sag has started on your roof, place your hands on the ceiling and gently push the ceiling up. If you detect any movement, that's a good indication that the ceiling is starting to come down!

The aged tiled roofs on these units were experiencing numerous water ingress issues and the decision was made to replace the roofs with Colourbond® Trimdeck sheeting in Dune 🫶🏼

This project definitely had its challenges, due to some early winter rain - when planning your roof replacement, we always recommend the summer months, but this doesn’t always work out! We take the challenge caused by unexpected weather in our stride and work with our clients to try and ensure the smooth running of the project 🙏🏼

The unit roofs look absolutely beautiful now and water ingress issues are a thing of the past 💖

Here’s a throwback to a roof replacement we completed earlier this year - doesn’t it look stunning 🤩

The previous metal sheeting roof on this house was experiencing water ingress issues due to being old and rusted. Inspection by one of our experienced roofers also revealed that sections of the roof and flashing had not originally been installed to building code 😳

The owners decided to replace their aged roof with Zincalume trimdeck sheeting. Zincalume is strong, durable and long lasting and less expensive than Colourbond®, however it does only come in this standard grey colour. It’s a great choice for many homes such as this! 😎

The owners are over the moon with their new roof, and so are we 🥰

The old roof on this house was experiencing water ingress issues; an inspection by one of our experienced roofers revealed that the tiles were pitting (see slide four) and that on some sections of the roof the tiles were pitched at too low an angle to prevent water ingress in heavy rain ⛈️

The owners decided to replace their aged tiled roof with Colourbond® Trimdeck sheeting in Manor Red 🫶🏼

3. This lounge ceiling was on the verge of collapse (see the big crack)’ we completed a makesafe on inspection and returned at a later date to completely replace the ceiling
4. The cornice in this garage had significant damage from water ingress; we replaced the cornice (with no painting)
5. This ceiling had significant water damage from roof issues; once we fixed the roof issues, our ceiling team attended and repaired the damaged section of ceiling (partial ceiling replacement)
