Western Irrigation was recently honoured to assist with the sponsorship of the inaugural indigenous playing jumper for the Wanneroo Junior Football Club. The club is one of the oldest junior football clubs in the Perth Metropolitan area and caters for all junior age groups, from the 5 year old Auskick players right up to the 18 year old open competition players, for both boys and girls of all skill levels.

Western Irrigation will proudly display a copy of the indigenous jumper in our Greenwood premises - we look forward to a great season ahead for the Wanneroo JFC players. Go the Roos!

Lawns and gardens require a minimum of 10mm irrigation twice a week to survive the heat of summer in WA. It's never a good idea to reduce sprinkler times with the intention of saving water, by doing this you will effectively be wasting water! If your lawn and plants don't receive the minimum required amount of water, they will die.

Recent construction and development of a good sized production water bore - starting at 23 inch at surface, with ~14 inch pump chamber and end up at 400m deep within the Yarragadee aquifer. Targeted yield around 90 L/s ... achieved >95L/s.
Constant rate test limited to 75L/s due to storage limitations on site. 13 million litres filling up two dams during 48hr aquifer pump test.
Positive efforts by client, consultant and contractor working collaboratively together enabled a great result to be achieved.

Today we say a final farewell to Bob Brown, one of the founders of Western Irrigation. He was a ground breaker in the industry, always willing to try something new and relished every challenge (some with a degree of hair pulling...) His determination for the company to succeed, and always provide a quality product has been passed down through the current management and staff, and ensures that the company will continue to strive towards the very high standards he set - for all aspects of the company.
He had a great love of nature, and spent his retirement on the land, forever tinkering with new projects, usually involving water. The company extends their condolences to daughter Juanita, son Russ, and the siblings and family he left behind. Rest in peace Bob - we will do our best to honour your legacy to the groundwater industry.
From Management and Staff at Western Irrigation.
