So grateful to have won this year’s City of Vincent Best Front or Back Garden for Veiled House. Couldn’t have done it without the talent and vision of . Green space is always a core consideration of all our designs for both environmental and biophilic reasons. For Veiled House, our intention for the 62sqm roof garden was to reduce the heat island effect on this inner-city block whilst naturally insulating the spaces underneath and creating a green oasis in the harsh urbanscape to be enjoyed from all the bedrooms as well as for our neighbours. Greenery is visible from every single room of this house, whether it is the sculptural Waterwise front garden, the green link between the new and old parts, the courtyard with tiered planting and a feature deciduous ornamental snow pear providing the main means of accessing northern light or the roof garden

Shout out to all the working parents out there! It’s a tough gig that can feel lonely and isolating, sleep deprived and exhausting whilst also extremely rewarding and joyous. It has only taken a couple of years for us to update our website but we got there, finding pockets of time in between nappy changes, piles of laundry, constant cooking, homework and lots of projects which has seen our practice evolve and explore exciting new ideas and areas of our profession. What do you think?

We got DA! 🍾🍾🍾 So excited to start documenting this gem for the most amazing clients ❤️
We love how this design maximises the full potential of the site to create a family home with a strong connection to the outdoors (hello biophilic design) and a sense of sculptural beauty. Despite pushing many planning boundaries, we were able to demonstrate how this design fulfills the planning principles for a positive result. Happy to say we haven’t yet had a planning rejection in our 14 years of practice 😅
