But in the end it was our site team that came up with the goods, showcasing their unmatched expertise, delivering amazing results! 🏗️

Kilmore Group has recently completed the façade restoration works at Shenton House in Joondalup.

Engaged by Shenton House Pty Ltd, in conjunction with the Asset Manager Mesh Property, this scope was planned around the medical centres within the facility. Strategic project planning ensured no disruptions occurred to the sensitive nature of these business’ operations.

The team carried out the following works:

• demolition
• removal and replacement of façade panels
• management and liaising with stakeholders
• mitigation of noise and disruption to tenants
• recycling ACP
• management of OH&S.

The completion of this project has revitalised the external look of the building while increasing the safety and comfortability of the tenants.

Meet Naia.

One of Kilmore Group’s newest team members.

As our process engineer, Naia has injected her expertise in business analysis, standardisation and strategy into the Kilmore Group operations. Since her onboarding, we have seen improvement in areas including:

• internal growth
• processes and procedures
• client acquisition and retention
• team output analysis and reporting.

In Naia's personal time, she’s doing anything outdoors; spending time with her 2-year-old daughter at the parks, playgrounds and beaches around Perth.

When the weather isn’t so friendly, Naia will be watching anything science-fiction based – Black Mirror being one of her favourites.

Guy looks after our large remedial projects and is the main point of contact for all related correspondence. He has worked in the remedial industry for over 12 years and is well rehearsed in its best practice and building solutions. His relationship management skills and expertise are a great asset to Kilmore Group and our clients.

When Guy isn’t estimating or managing projects, you’ll find him coaching Perth Glory’s junior football side and spending time with his kids, Leo and Jack.

We were thrilled to be a part of the City of Bunbury's façade upgrade project from the initial planning stages right through to the final reveal.

This project required a façade upgrade to comply with the local building codes and regulations.

Prior to proceeding with any works, a Traffic Management Plan was implemented to ensure the safety of workers and the public, minimise disruptions to the flow of traffic in the area and enhance the overall efficiency of the project.

The building consisted of 8 elevations. An Inspection Test Plan for each area was submitted to the City of Bunbury for approval prior to proceeding with any works.

Throughout the duration of the project, we co-ordinated every aspect of the works with all stakeholders and personnel involved to ensure it was completed seamlessly and to the satisfaction of all parties.

We at Kilmore Group have comprehensive knowledge and understanding of compliance regulations, building codes and other relevant standards within the industry which can provide our clients with peace of mind that the work will be completed safely and to the highest of standards.

Allendale Square Cooling Towers

For this project we were engaged to rectify the existing concrete structural support bracing of the cooling towers at Allendale Square in Perth CBD.

Works included:

• removal of the delaminated concrete
• repair to the existing substrate
• two coat polyurethane waterproofing system application over the concrete substrate

Façade Carpenter requirements, duties and responsibilities:

• Be fully qualified
• Hold a White Card (Essential)
• Hold an EWP Licence (Desirable)
• Read and interpret drawings
• Measure and calculate the size and amount of material needed on site
• Have a strong understanding of framing set out installation
• Construct building frameworks, including walls, bulkheads and suspended ceilings

Specialist Applicator requirements, duties and responsibilities:

• Hold a White Card (Essential)
• Minimum of 12 months experience in a similar role
• Experience in protective coatings and concrete repair
• Experience in plastering / rendering
• Assist in the installation and application of remediation products

The team was delighted to have Josh and Jim from MATES in Construction Australia come by yesterday and deliver the General Awareness Training on what is such a prominent calendar day of mental health awareness.

Taking the time to listen and learn, the team walked away better equipped with the techniques and knowledge to ask that big question – R U OK?

In continuation to create awareness for and we held a BBQ after the General Awareness Training and then braved the cold morning waters this morning at Mettams Pool for a dip which was then followed by a hot coffee.

KPMG Building Two-layer Torch-on Waterproofing Project

Our remedial division has completed the 1060m2 roof-top waterproofing works at 235 St Georges Terrace in Perth's CBD. The application of this new system was fully in-house.

This project included:

Full demolition of the existing waterproofing system
Concrete slab preparation
A two-layer torch-on membrane system application
Rope access to building parapet
