Tail lifts are often used repeatedly throughout the day, making wear difficult to avoid.

Hydraulic leaks, damaged platforms, worn hinges and electrical faults can all affect operation. Small issues are easier to deal with before they become a complete failure during a delivery.

Routine checks and timely repairs help keep loading equipment reliable.

For tail lift repairs and servicing, call (08) 9359 0422.

Sideloaders deal with regular loading cycles, heavy containers and plenty of hydraulic movement.

When something starts operating slowly, unevenly or noisily, it is worth investigating early. Continuing to operate with a developing fault can put additional strain on other components.

Proper diagnosis helps identify whether the issue sits with the hydraulics, mechanical components or something else in the system.

For sideloader repairs, call (08) 9359 0422.

YOUR TRUCK IS GIVING YOU WARNING SIGNS.

The question is whether you’re listening.

That strange engine noise.
That warning light.
That vibration you’ve started getting used to.
That hydraulic leak that looks “small”.

None of these should be brushed off.

10 warning signs that deserve attention:

1. Unusual engine noises
2. Warning lights
3. Difficulty starting
4. Brake problems
5. Hydraulic leaks
6. Uneven tyre wear
7. Excessive smoke
8. Steering problems
9. Reduced performance
10. Unusual vibrations

A truck doesn’t always go from running perfectly to completely broken.

More often, there are signs along the way.

Catch the problem early and the repair can often be planned around the job. Ignore it, and the next stop could be an unplanned breakdown.

Less downtime starts with paying attention to the warning signs.

Hydraulic systems on heavy vehicles operate in demanding conditions. Hoses, fittings, cylinders and pumps all need to handle pressure, movement and regular use.

A small leak should not be ignored. Loss of hydraulic pressure can quickly turn into equipment downtime or a safety issue.

Hydraulic faults can be inspected, diagnosed and repaired before they cause further damage.

Call (08) 9359 0422 for hydraulic repair work.

Truck-mounted cranes are working equipment. Wear, hydraulic faults and structural damage can affect how safely and reliably the crane operates.

Inspections should cover more than the obvious fault. Mounting points, hydraulic components, controls and structural areas all deserve attention.

Repairs need to restore the equipment to a condition suitable for continued operation.

For crane repairs and workshop servicing, call (08) 9359 0422.

ELECTRICAL FAULTS CAN BE HARD TO SEE.

But they can bring a truck to a standstill.

Modern heavy vehicles rely on electrical systems for far more than lights and indicators. Batteries, alternators, sensors, wiring, control modules and diagnostic systems all need to work together.

Watch for the warning signs:

• Difficulty starting
• Flickering lights
• Warning lights
• Battery constantly going flat
• Intermittent electrical faults
• Faulty indicators
• Accessories suddenly not working
• Repeated blown fuses
• Communication or diagnostic errors

And don’t assume a blown fuse is the whole problem.

If the same fuse keeps failing, there may be an underlying electrical fault that needs to be found.

Vibration, moisture, dirt and temperature changes can also take their toll on wiring and connections, particularly on vehicles working hard day after day.

The right diagnosis matters.

Testing the battery, charging system, wiring, connections and fault codes can help pinpoint the actual problem instead of simply treating the symptom.

Electrical faults rarely fix themselves.

Heavy vehicles do not have much room for downtime. A mechanical fault can quickly affect deliveries, schedules and the rest of the fleet.

From mechanical repairs through to fabrication and hydraulic work, repairs need to be assessed properly before the work begins.

The right diagnosis saves time and prevents the same problem from coming back.

Pressurised fluid systems require systematic fault finding rather than guessing.

Pressure drops, slow cycle times, or weeping seals usually point to internal bypass, contaminated fluid, or pump wear.

Fixing the root cause ensures lifting equipment operates reliably under full load.

Trailers handle heavy cyclic loads daily across varied road surfaces.

Wear on kingpins, drawbars, air lines, and suspension bushes can gradually degrade tracking and braking performance.

Inspecting these assemblies during scheduled downtime prevents larger structural or mechanical failures when loaded.

Call (08) 9359 0422 to arrange trailer repairs and inspections.

Mechanical failure rarely happens without a warning sign first.

Minor play in steering joints, unusual noise in suspension linkages, or uneven lining wear on drum brakes usually indicate a developing issue.

Addressing these faults early maintains fleet safety standards and helps prevent expensive roadside breakdowns across Western Australian transport routes.

Call (08) 9359 0422 for heavy vehicle servicing.
