🎉 BIG MILESTONE — ROB’S WOODWORKING WEBSITE IS NOW LIVE! 🪵

I’m very excited to finally say that the Rob’s Woodworking website is officially live!

The website showcases some of the pieces I make, including handcrafted coffee tables, river tables, grazing boards, floating shelves, lazy Susan's, custom furniture and more.

You can also check out what’s currently for sale, learn about the different timbers I work with, view previous projects, enquire about a custom-made piece, or have a look at the grazing boards available for hire.

Every piece I make is handcrafted in my workshop, with a focus on bringing out the natural character and beauty of the timber.

Started a new project yesterday, a oval coffee table 1150 x 870 using a very rare Western Australian Blackbutt Burl , with black river epoxy resin.
Today I poured 12 litres of resin, it now sits for 7 days. Then the finishing process begins, should be completed over the next 4 weeks.

The 70mm thick Marri burl coffee table is taking shape, full shaped, sanded and now the final fill completed. It is now 10mm thinner, all there it is complete this one of a kind coffee table is -
sanding the fill resin
wetting to raise the grain
final sanding
application of the rubio oils
fitting the legs
than put it on Market Place.

Hi Everyone,
Started on a Cup Cake Stand this weekend that will be for hire in a few weeks, something different. Made from 2 burl biscuits with copper pipe as legs for the top layer. it will be finished in table top epoxy resin.

Console / Hall Table For Sale.
Hand crafted from stunning Tasmanian Black Heart Sassafras with black resin infill, with mazing grain patterns. This timber is very sort after and has become rare.

A new challenge has arrived in the workshop.
This stunning Marri Burl Biscuit Slab measures an impressive 2200 x 1500 x 65mm thick before resurfacing. It's definitely not going to be an easy project, but that's all part of the fun. This slab cross section would have taken up to 500 years to grow this size; it has amazing grain with very tight growth rings.
Over the coming weeks, I will be building a router plaining table to take the large piece of timber and then I'll transform this piece of Western Australian timber into a one-of-a-kind dining table. Stay tuned to follow the journey from raw slab to finished masterpiece.

Workshop supervisor on Duty
Ella is keeping me company while I work on my next creation. She always seems to find the biggest timber slab or the freshest pile of sawdust to lie on.
Every project has a quality control manager, and mine has four legs and never misses a day at work.

New masterpiece taking shape - 70mm thick Marri Coffee Table, 1200 x 670mm live edge all round. This will become a coffee table with style and one of a kind, using translucent black epoxy resin. Will be cured in 7 days, then the heavy work starts with - flattening, filling, flattening again, a couple of days sanding and the finishing in either oil or tabletop epoxy (still to decide) Should be completed and ready for sale in around 5 weeks.

Two river coffee tables completed.

I completed some grazing boards today, set of 3 tiered Jarrah with copper resin, set of 2 tiered Jarrah withblack resin, a single Jarrah with black resin and a 5 piece set of Tasmanian Myrtle with pearl resin.
All items will be ready for hire in two weeks.
