Hand selected some beautiful new timber last week, and it’s now ready for custom orders at Rob’s Woodworking.

I’ve added a great selection of Jarrah, Salmon Gum, Marri, Tuart, WA Blackbutt and Sheoak, with some really unique slabs featuring natural live edges, beautiful grain, burls and plenty of character.

These timbers are available for custom pieces including dining tables, coffee tables, hall/console tables, side tables, shelving and other one-off furniture. I can also incorporate epoxy resin where it suits the timber and design.

I personally select my timber so I can offer pieces that are a little different from mass-produced furniture. Each piece is handmade and designed around the individual slab, keeping as much of the timber’s natural character as possible.

If you’ve been thinking about having something made, now is a great time to get in touch and have a look at the new stock.

Hi everyone! 👋

I haven’t posted for a while as I’ve been busy redesigning my workshop so I can now work on much larger timber tops — up to 1500mm wide and 3000mm long! 🔨🪵

I’ve also just hand-selected a great range of new timber for upcoming made-to-order projects, as well as some projects I’ll be designing myself and putting up for sale.

I’ve already started making some grazing boards, cutting boards and Lazy Susans, which will make fantastic gifts for family and friends. 🎁

I’ll be posting progress photos along the way, followed by plenty of photos once each piece is completed.

Lots happening in the workshop, and I’m looking forward to sharing the finished projects with you all!

I just completed a WA Blackbutt Burl Oval Coffee Table, 1140 x 870 x 445 high with the top being 35mm thick. Steel Powder Coated legs and finished with Rudio Monocoat 2C oil. This one-of-a-kind table will be up for sale tomorrow on Market Place and my website robswoodworking.net

Just completed the Marri Burl coffee table I have been working on for a while, weighing in at 45kg,

1235 long x 660 wide x 400 high, with a 65mm thick top.

Something very different to what is out there currently, with the sculptured shape top and the three 100x100 solid Marri legs.
This piece of furniture is definitely one of a kind. It will be up for sale on my website robswoodworking.net

🎉 BIG MILESTONE — ROB’S WOODWORKING WEBSITE IS NOW LIVE! 🪵

I’m very excited to finally say that the Rob’s Woodworking website is officially live!

The website showcases some of the pieces I make, including handcrafted coffee tables, river tables, grazing boards, floating shelves, lazy Susan's, custom furniture and more.

You can also check out what’s currently for sale, learn about the different timbers I work with, view previous projects, enquire about a custom-made piece, or have a look at the grazing boards available for hire.

Every piece I make is handcrafted in my workshop, with a focus on bringing out the natural character and beauty of the timber.

Started a new project yesterday, a oval coffee table 1150 x 870 using a very rare Western Australian Blackbutt Burl , with black river epoxy resin.
Today I poured 12 litres of resin, it now sits for 7 days. Then the finishing process begins, should be completed over the next 4 weeks.

The 70mm thick Marri burl coffee table is taking shape, full shaped, sanded and now the final fill completed. It is now 10mm thinner, all there it is complete this one of a kind coffee table is -
sanding the fill resin
wetting to raise the grain
final sanding
application of the rubio oils
fitting the legs
than put it on Market Place.

Hi Everyone,
Started on a Cup Cake Stand this weekend that will be for hire in a few weeks, something different. Made from 2 burl biscuits with copper pipe as legs for the top layer. it will be finished in table top epoxy resin.
