💧 We've had a few people ask why we don't always use underwater ROVs or robotic vacuum systems for our tank cleaning jobs.

These systems are fantastic technology and can be an excellent solution in the right situation. They reduce water waste, eliminate the need to send divers into tanks, and can remove loose sediment from the bottom of the tank.

However, not every tank is the same.

Some tanks have stubborn build-up, biofilm, scale or residue on the walls, roof and internal fittings that simply can't be removed by a robotic vacuum alone. To achieve a truly thorough clean, the tank sometimes needs to be completely drained so our team can safely enter and manually scrub every internal surface.

At Diligent Plumbing and Gas, we don't believe in taking shortcuts. We choose the cleaning method that will deliver the best result for each individual tank—not just the quickest one.

Is Your Hot Water System Making Strange Rumbling or Popping Noises?

❗️Sediment build-up could be the cause❗️

Over time, minerals from hard water, such as calcium and magnesium, can settle at the bottom of your hot water tank. When the system heats up, steam bubbles can get trapped under the sediment, causing knocking, popping or rumbling noises.

The fix:

Diligent Plumbing and Gas can flush and clean your hot water tank to help clear the build-up. Some older systems may also need an anode rod replacement.
