Ocean Window Cleaning - Perth window cleaner Professional, quality and reliable window cleaning service covering both residential and commercial properties at a competitive price. Hi, My name is Keith.
(65)

Fully insured, registered business and current police clearance. We offer pricing personally tailored to your property. The Ocean Window Cleaning Story. When chatting to new customers we always get around to our working history so I thought I would give a quick update and insight into my story and background to the new followers of my page. I used to be a Mechanical CAD Design Engineer then a prod

uction Manager for a total of 25 years back in the UK. I came to Perth wanting a complete change and to be able to spend more time with family and have a better work/life balance. I was offered a few managerial positions back in early 2015 but it really didn't suit our family dynamics. After looking into one or two other areas I ended up spending time with a professional Window Cleaner east of Perth who showed me techniques and equipment required for the job. I started the family Window Cleaning business in May 2015 and have gradually built up a large customer base. I provide a quality service by being thorough in my work. Due to the standard of my work I now carry out a lot of work for Real Estate agents, this includes work prior to home opens or for rental inspections / vacates. I also carry out a lot of work for commercial customers as well as residential. All my gear I buy from either the Eastern states, WA, UK or the USA. It is all professional equipment and not just bought from the local DIY store. When you book to use Ocean Window Cleaning you get myself working at your home or business and I do not sub contract any of the work out to gain more business. I am fully insured business which is important if something was to happen around your property. Always ask the business if they have this and they should be able to provide a certificate of insurance. I generally service Iluka - Yanchep and surrounding suburbs. I am ABN Registered and also keep my police clearance current. I hope to hear from you soon! Kind regards
Keith

Another 3.30am start today, then dropping onto residential. I received a nice Google review from one of those residential customers. My customer only lives around the corner from me, but found me on Google!. I don't get many reviews these days as the level of service is expected, but it's always a pleasant surprise.

Some small commercial units cleaned up inside and out. All three gymnasiums were for the same client at different locations.

Also some more calcium cleaned up at a residential property along with the window clean.

16/03/2024

I haven't been in long after working this morning and I get another message asking if I can do a window clean this afternoon, this due to the fact that their window cleaner hasn't turned up. They need to have keys handed back for a rental on Monday. Unfortunately I had to say no.

Although I get messages like this every year, this last six months they have really increased, especially this year asking if I can do last minute cleans because nobody has turned up and with no explanation. Apparently a couple of the businesses haven't been around long, and another that people are telling me is one that's apparently been around three or four years. I'm guessing they must be over booking, then picking and choosing. When I asked where they got them from, each time I was told they saw them advertising on Facebook πŸ€”.

I really hate doing posts like this, but it irks me, it could also give us all a bad reputation as we could all get tarred with the same brush. To any new people to my page, I am about to enter my tenth year running the business, not once have I not turned up without a valid reason, but have always kept the customer informed and tried organising another window cleaner for them if needed.

All my work comes from customers telling friends and family about my business, people stumbling upon my page or on Google listings. I never advertise, my only Facebook involvement generally are the odd posts I do on here.

** Edit** These slots have now gone.

My next bookings available are the 10th & 11th April after some early commercial work and only room for a one storey.

Have a nice weekend.

⚠️ Warning ⚠️

Hi all,

Just a quick warning to anybody out there wishing to clean their own solar panels. I've recently cleaned the panels for a customer who has used me for several years for their windows. A couple of months ago they tried cleaning the solar panels themselves by getting on the roof and cleaning from below the panels, meaning the flow of water was coming down towards them. Unfortunately, this didn't end well and my customer slipped and fell, apparently it wasn't pleasant. If you're going to try and clean them yourself, try to do it from the top ridge of the roof above the panels. This means you're above the flow of the water and can get good agitation, as rain water alone doesn't clean them. Good luck 🀞

These were the panels.

One of the building companies I do work for had a property broken into a couple of weeks ago and vandalised, paint was thrown over some windows. The supervisor made contact with me and yesterday was the only time I could fit it in to try and remove the paint. The paint had hardened to the glass, frames and tracks.

It was tough going, especially the frames, but I managed to remove it and the supervisor was happy.

One of my window clean jobs today had calcium removal as an extra to the standard clean. They came up quite well in the first dozen or so photos.

I've also got a job booked in for a few weeks time around the corner from me for a window clean, plus lots of calcium removal around the property, today between jobs I had time to start removing calcium on the front window. This came up better than expected as it was solid calcium on one or two panes.

I've also been doing a lot of solar panel cleans lately.

Currently I have around half a dozen spots left for March give or take.

Cheers,
Keith

Hi guys,

We have just arrived home after a weeks break around the Smiths Beach area. I have a stack of messages to reply to, thanks to those who took time to read my automated message about being on a family holiday and messaged me just the once (including follow up message). I will be replying to every FB message, text and call over the next few days to arrange a quote and booking in date, in between unpacking, washing and working. I start back on the 25th.

A few customers prior to me leaving asked me to show them some photos as they'd never been around the area, so easier to post on here. We've been right up north and right down south and places in between during our 9 years in WA, but this area is one of our favourite places to visit. This despite a black dugite coming within 2 metres of where my wife and I were sitting on the verandah of where we were staying Saturday night.

This is a little snippet.

Roll on Kalbarri.

Cheers,
Keith

Wishing all my customers a very Merry Christmas and a safe festive season🌲.

Thanks once again to all my repeat customers and also to the new ones over the last 12 months. Since the 1st of November, 93% of my jobs have been from returning customers. I'm sorry to everybody that couldn't get booked in with me since October due to being booked up, as always I had messages and calls right up to last week trying to book me in.

Also, back in January when I had to have a sudden operation, I was hastily organising another window cleaner for some customers half an hour before being operated on. I would like to thank those customers that returned to me later in the year.

Another thank you also to some residential customers over the last couple of months that allowed me to start work at 6am on those days when it was forecast 35Β°plus, it really makes a difference as usually the temperature peaks around 1-2pm.

I have my little helper in the photo again, I'm extremely proud of her over the last year. As well as moving on to her blue and white karate belt, she won champion girl at her school carnival again and won champion girl at her first interschool athletics, not to mention a brilliant school report, which was mainly straight A's. Erin is also in a gymnastics squad which competes down in Leederville. A couple of months ago she came 3rd in an individual state / national competition, this is where all my time goes once I've finished work.

All the best

Came up nice with smoked paprika and garlic butter.

One of my customers who regularly use my services gave me 3 crayfish after this mornings early job. They go out and set up the craypots and these were caught this week off Ocean Reef. I was recommended to rub some garlic butter and smoked paprika into the meat (Any other tips?) That's my lunch tomorrow πŸ˜‹

Tip of the day -

Before unpacking all your gear at the property that you've pulled up on the drive of, and the owner rightly comes out asking what I'm doing, first check it's the correct property you're meant to be working at πŸ˜‚. (The owner was fine)

In my defence it was 7am, facing the early morning rising sun, and the number 6 looked like an 8. I'd actually been at the property I was meant to be at previously in Kinross 🀭.

**Edit**

I have now been booked until 2024 since the beginning of October. After the Christmas break I will return back to work on the 3rd January, with next spots available at the end of January into February.

Just a quick head up guys, from being a week or two booked in advance during winter, I now only have a handful of spots available over the next month. Like with other years, this lead time will stretch out further as we enter Spring.

Due to the fact I'm hitting the big 50 in December, and have a couple of trips booked for early next year, I will be having more Saturdays as a booking option and also starting to work some Sundays to try and accommodate.

Thank you again to everybody who has stayed loyal and continue to use me, especially when so many businesses out there are continually advertising. I'm fortunate enough to have actual customers do the advertising for me by telling friends and family, that and regular commercial and residential business keeps me busy.

When messaging my page, if you could please answer the couple of questions I ask on my Automated response, this saves me asking the same questions to each and every query. I can then let you know when I can take a look to quote.

Thanks,
Keith

After cleaning the windows on some commercial units for some tenants that were vacating the premises back in April, the manager of the units approached the tenants to ask who they had used as he was impressed with the job. The manager made contact with myself to clean more units, with possibly more work on the horizon.

Today, as my first commercial job, I scheduled in the first batch of units he wanted cleaning externally. As I only cleaned the exterior, there is still build up internally.

22 properties I attended today at a lifestyle village and cleaned over 240 solar panels down a row of homes. It was a fair bit of climbing up and down the ladder, but good for the quads and calf muscles. I got to chat to some lovely residents along the way. Here are just some of the panels cleaned.

So I've been doing a quite a bit of commercial work in and around Perth lately, but it was nice to be working more locally today after another early start. It was cleaning the windows on some offices ready for when the current tenants move out. Unfortunately the glass had been vandalised a bit and had scratches / graffiti and tint that was already peeling off, which the unit owners had installed on the outside for some reason. Overall they came up as well as possible though. The best bit though with it been local I was able to meet my daughter for a breakfast before cracking on again.

27/02/2023

So many solar panel cleans in the last few weeks. Looking at the inverter pre and post solar clean, the readings on some had risen 300-800watts depending which job I was at. Considering the panels in question were meant to be giving out 285w each, that's two / three panels worth not really doing much pre clean. They were also cleaned back end of the day when the temperature was cooling. **Please note these readings were on some of the dirtiest panels**

I've seen lately again on local pages that people have just hosed panels from the ground and saying they don't look any different. When hosing them with normal water, apart from calcium settling at the bottom of the solar panel you're also not agitating the dirt and getting the downward force of the water. Like I've mentioned previously, I never get involved with commenting on Facebook posts for various reasons.

I've also told some customers who had booked me in for a solar clean, that once I'd been on the roof their panels didn't need cleaning as it wouldn't have made much difference as they were pretty much spotless.

Hi all,

Just to confirm I started back working last Monday (23rd) after my operation and February is almost booked out. I will be returning to hospital on the 21st February to have my stent and the large kidney stone removed. I will also be having the 22nd off and possibly 23rd just incase of any adverse reaction.

**Bookings are now well into March**

Thank you all for all the messages of support and for all the customers who had me booked during the week of my initial operation for allowing me to reschedule. Out of all my bookings that week everybody rebooked apart from one, this was due to having photos taken for a house sale. Luckily I was able to fix them up with my friend who has a business.

Thanks
Keith

16/01/2023

Keith was in hospital again yesterday and was admitted to a ward late last night, this morning he had an operation to fit a stent to try and open the way for the largest kidney stone to pass through as it wasn't moving, only causing heaps of pain, having the stent alleviates that pain. The stent is also there to help repair the ureter tube which goes from the kidney to bladder, as this has been damaged. He is now in recovery but has to go back to hospital in a few weeks to have the stent removed and possibly remove the kidney stone causing the issue. He is able to work before then once he feels up to it.

I am trying to message some of his customers, but if any see this post please get in touch if you would like to reschedule and he'll get back to you when he can.

Keith wanted me to thank customers for understanding and for willing to wait for his return.

Apologies,
Nicola

13/01/2023

To customers that have me booked in over the next couple of weeks, please be aware that I have had kidney stone issues over the last week and may have to postpone jobs last minute.

Last Thursday morning (5th) and Saturday morning (7th) I had to postpone jobs due to being in hospital with the kidney stones and the various tests associated. Friday 6th I felt fine and worked.

We came away Tuesday with friends to Collie and last night it all started again, this afternoon we visited the local hospital and I've been given other forms of medication and more bloods tests. It's just a waiting game and more excruciating pain to come unfortunately.

I hate to let customers down, so when feeling fine I will work.

Cheers
Keith
