It's officially Be Kind to Animals Week 🐾
Around here, kindness to animals isn't something we save for one week of the year. But it's a good moment to stop and think about who we include when we talk about kindness.
Whether it's the pigs in factory farms who will never see the sun, the ducks shot from the sky on Victorian wetlands, or the dog who's part of your family – they all feel fear, pain and joy, and they all deserve our compassion.
Small acts matter: Leave water our for wildlife as the weather warms up. Adopt (don't shop). Try a new plant-based meal this week.
But kindness also needs a voice in Parliament, and that's the reason we exist. Because animals shouldn't be an afterthought when laws are made.
