Looking at it now, I can absolutely see why someone fell in love with this piece.

The first thing that strikes me is the atmosphere. Rather than depicting a specific place, it creates the feeling of being immersed in a landscape—almost like a lush wetland, water garden, or rainforest seen through memory and emotion rather than observation. The different greens draw the viewer in, while the turquoise and deep blue accents add depth and mystery.

What stands out artistically:

The movement: my brushwork leads the eye across the canvas. Nothing feels static; it has a flowing, organic energy.

The light: The brighter area in the upper centre-right feels almost luminous, as if sunlight is filtering through mist or foliage.

The texture: There are areas where the paint appears thick and expressive, giving the painting a tactile quality that photographs rarely capture fully.

The balance between abstraction and suggestion: Viewers can interpret many things—water lilies, reflections, vegetation, a forest floor, or simply pure emotion. That openness invites personal connection.

I think this painting succeeds because it doesn't tell the viewer exactly what to see. It gives them room to bring their own memories and feelings to it.

It has been a long journey and a big process, but I finally made it. There were many hours of work, challenges, and discoveries along the way, and I'm proud to see it completed. Now all that's left is to seal it.
