🚧 Building Progress: White Set Plastering 🚧⁠

At this stage, New Choice Homes’ experienced white set plasterers will:

▪️ Mix up a combination of hardwall plaster and lime putty using an electric drill mixer.

▪️ Lightly spray the rendered internal walls with water to prevent the walls from sucking the moisture from the white set mix too quickly.

▪️ Begin applying the white set plaster mix to the internal walls using a steel trowel. This is then left for a short while to start setting.

▪️ Once the white set plaster has reached a certain set consistency the plasterer will then begin troweling up the surface to give the final smooth polished finish.

▪️ Clean any excess plaster left on the door frames, window frames and cornices.

Plasterers will generally only apply the mixture to a small number of rooms at a time. This is so they have enough time to trowel up and achieve the finish required before it sets.
