On the Garden Island High-Level Bridge, the remedial works needed access to 11 piers and 16 spans, and the bridge had to keep carrying traffic the whole time.
Every working area was fully encapsulated, so the concrete, blast and paint debris stayed inside the scaffold and never reached the road or the water below. To reach the inclined spans, we designed a rolling unit that ran on a purpose-built track and followed the geometry of the bridge.
One adaptable pier scaffold design covered all 11 piers, reaching 15 metres high, with stair access hung from the deck above.
If your structure has an access problem a standard scaffold can't solve, send the scope to [email protected] and we will take a look.
