The focal moment of this kitchen? It has to be that green custom cabinetry 💚

Subtle enough to sit beautifully within the space, but bold enough to make an impact.

Paired with warm timber flooring and crisp white cabinetry? A match made in kitchen heaven.

We’ve designed, built and installed enough kitchens to have developed a few strong opinions along the way.

Bench space? More is more.
Soft-close? We said what we said.
Beautiful but impractical? Hard pass.

Swipe for a few kitchen truths we’ll happily stand behind.

Agree? Disagree? Have a kitchen hill you’re willing to die on? We want to hear it.

Hot take: Your laundry works harder than half the rooms in your house. Design it accordingly.

We spend so much time obsessing over kitchen layouts, finishes and storage... then treat the laundry like the room nobody is going to see.

But think about how often you actually use it.

A well-designed laundry can make the daily stuff easier. Better storage, better flow, less clutter, and STILL feel like it belongs with the rest of your home.

This one proves practical doesn’t have to mean boring.

Maybe it’s time we stopped treating the laundry like the forgotten room of the house 👀

What’s on Sydney homeowners’ joinery wish lists?

We spend a LOT of time talking kitchens, but custom joinery can make just about every corner of your home work harder (and look a whole lot better while doing it).

From the storage solutions people can’t get enough of, to the features making their way into kitchens, laundries, living rooms and wardrobes, we’ve rounded up 10 of the most requested custom joinery features among Sydney homeowners.

Some you’ll expect. Others might just have you adding something new to your reno wish list 👀

Kitchens should spark joy. Not frustration.

And this one? An absolute joy.

Crisp white cabinetry is softened by light timber tones and warm gold hardware, creating a space that feels fresh, bright and beautifully inviting.

Then there’s the warm lighting tucked into the upper cabinetry. A small detail that completely changes the mood once the sun goes down.

Beautiful to look at. A joy to live in. And made for many, many years of family life.

Dulux Australia has released its 2027 Colour Forecast, featuring three distinctly different palettes: Sensory, Play and Treasure: Spanning calming botanical greens and earthy neutrals, playful pastels and unexpected pairings, through to rich jewel tones and warm, sophisticated hues.

And while we’ll always back a timeless kitchen over a trend for trend’s sake, colour forecasts like these give us a pretty exciting glimpse into the tones, textures and combinations we could be seeing a whole lot more of.

Which palette are you picking: Sensory, Play or Treasure?

Let there be LIGHT 💡

Heat lighting, under-cupboard lighting and plenty of the natural kind, too.

A simple layout, warm timber textures, gold fixtures and breathtaking tile choices make these two bathroom spaces beautiful in their own right. BUT, it’s the considered lighting that really lets every detail shine.

Proof that good lighting isn’t just practical. It’s part of the design.
