💰 A LITTLE REMINDER TO SUPPORT SMALL BUSINESS 💛🖤
With the recent changes to card surcharges, we wanted to take a moment to explain something that affects small businesses every day.
From October 1, businesses can no longer pass on card payment surcharges as a separate fee. But here’s the thing… the costs of running a business haven’t disappeared, they’re actually increasing.
Small businesses still pay merchant fees, transaction fees, wages, fuel, insurance, GST, vehicle expenses, tools, doors & parts, rent and countless other overheads just to keep the doors open.
We’re not big company with huge profit margins. We’re a small, family businesses working hard to support our families, employ staff and provide a reliable service to our customers as we have for over 49 years so far.
💵 So if you have the option, paying cash is always appreciated!
It can help reduce the card processing costs we incur and allows more of the money you spend to stay with the small business you’re supporting.
We completely understand that card payments are convenient, and we’ll continue to make paying easy for our customers. We’re simply asking you to remember that behind every small business is a real family, real expenses and a lot of hard work.
