The Spade It Up crew is still hard at work! 💪🌿

While I’m taking some time off to recover from surgery, the guys have been out keeping your gardens looking great and staying on top of your regular jobs. A big thank you to Alex for keeping everything moving while I heal! ❤️

I’m recovering well and feeling heaps better every day. Thank you for all the lovely messages, patience and support. It’s all been very appreciated and means so much to me. 🥰

Here’s a little look at what the crew has been up to! 📸🌱

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need anything. I’m still keeping up with messages and bookings while the guys take care of things on site.

A little update from Spade It Up 🌿

My surgery went well, they managed to remove the tumour without any complications, and I’m now home recovering and doing well! ❤️

While I’m taking some time to heal, the guys will be keeping on top of all your jobs as usual. 💪🌱

A quick apology for all the calendar shuffling this week, and a big thank you for your patience and flexibility. I really appreciate it!

🌵 LOOK AT THE SPIKES ON THIS THING! 😳😂

Yesterday’s mission was to completely clear this fence line ready for the client’s new fence to go in and some of these plants definitely weren’t planning on leaving quietly!

Along with that absolute weapon of a spiky plant, we removed 5 small trees and cleared out all the smaller vegetation and growth along the fence line, leaving the area open, accessible and ready for the next stage of the project. 💪🌿

There’s something ridiculously satisfying about a good clearing job especially when you can actually see the space again afterwards!

Another messy one ticked off by the team. ❤️

🌿 7 HOURS LATER… WE GOT THE GARDEN BED BACK! 💪

This one was a workout! 😂

What was left of these old yuccas might not have looked like much from above ground, but underneath was a completely different story. We spent around 7 hours digging, cutting and removing the old stumps and root systems to finally reclaim this garden bed.

Once everything was out, we cleaned and levelled the bed, leaving the existing plants with plenty of room to grow and giving the whole pool area a much cleaner, more open feel. 🌱

While we were there, we also gave the rest of the property a full garden clean-up, so everything was left fresh and tidy.

A lot of hard work for one little garden bed but WHAT a difference! 🤩

🌳 What a difference one day can make! 🌳

These four large Lilly Pillies had grown well above the roofline and were starting to take over the driveway, dropping leaves across the roof, clogging the gutters and making a real mess around the property.

The team spent the day carefully reducing all four trees, removing every bit of green waste, and giving the whole area a fresh start. 💪🌿

To finish it all off, we pressure washed the surrounding fences and cleaned out the gutters, leaving everything clean, tidy and ready to enjoy again.

Sometimes it’s not just about cutting trees back.. it’s about restoring the whole space.

We’re really proud of how this one came up! ❤️

💦 THROWBACK THURSDAY! 💦

Taking it back to 2022 with one of the most satisfying pressure washing jobs we’ve done!

This side path had disappeared under years of built-up dirt, moss and grime. It had gone from concrete… to what looked like a black and green carpet! 😅

About 25 minutes with the pressure washer and the transformation was unbelievable. Sometimes you don’t realise how much your outdoor surfaces have dulled until they’re properly cleaned.

There’s nothing quite like watching years of build-up disappear strip by strip. So satisfying! 🤩

Pressure washing is one of the quickest ways to give your home a fresh new look without replacing a thing.

💦 You know it’s satisfying when the dirt starts pouring out! 🤯

This is from one of our absolute favourite regular clients. We look after the property regularly, but we’d never pressure washed the flyscreens before.

Safe to say… they were due! 😂

As soon as the pressure washer hit them, years of built-up dust and grime came streaming out. The black water was incredible to watch, and the difference afterwards was even better. Clean flyscreens don’t just look better… they let in more light and fresh air too.

It’s always the little details that make the biggest difference.

Who else loves a ridiculously satisfying pressure washing video? 🙋‍♂️🙋‍♀️

One of my favourite parts of running Spade It Up isn’t just creating beautiful gardens. it’s watching young people develop confidence and skills they’ll carry with them for life.

Theo has been putting in the work, practising his whipper snipping, learning new techniques and getting better every single week. It doesn’t happen overnight, but every job is another step forward.

Couldn’t be prouder of your progress, mate. The future’s looking bright. 💛
