🌳 What a difference one day can make! 🌳

These four large Lilly Pillies had grown well above the roofline and were starting to take over the driveway, dropping leaves across the roof, clogging the gutters and making a real mess around the property.

The team spent the day carefully reducing all four trees, removing every bit of green waste, and giving the whole area a fresh start. 💪🌿

To finish it all off, we pressure washed the surrounding fences and cleaned out the gutters, leaving everything clean, tidy and ready to enjoy again.

Sometimes it’s not just about cutting trees back.. it’s about restoring the whole space.

💦 THROWBACK THURSDAY! 💦

Taking it back to 2022 with one of the most satisfying pressure washing jobs we’ve done!

This side path had disappeared under years of built-up dirt, moss and grime. It had gone from concrete… to what looked like a black and green carpet! 😅

About 25 minutes with the pressure washer and the transformation was unbelievable. Sometimes you don’t realise how much your outdoor surfaces have dulled until they’re properly cleaned.

There’s nothing quite like watching years of build-up disappear strip by strip. So satisfying! 🤩

Pressure washing is one of the quickest ways to give your home a fresh new look without replacing a thing.

💦 You know it’s satisfying when the dirt starts pouring out! 🤯

This is from one of our absolute favourite regular clients. We look after the property regularly, but we’d never pressure washed the flyscreens before.

Safe to say… they were due! 😂

As soon as the pressure washer hit them, years of built-up dust and grime came streaming out. The black water was incredible to watch, and the difference afterwards was even better. Clean flyscreens don’t just look better… they let in more light and fresh air too.

It’s always the little details that make the biggest difference.

One of my favourite parts of running Spade It Up isn’t just creating beautiful gardens. it’s watching young people develop confidence and skills they’ll carry with them for life.

Theo has been putting in the work, practising his whipper snipping, learning new techniques and getting better every single week. It doesn’t happen overnight, but every job is another step forward.

🌿 It’s amazing what can be achieved in just one hour! 🌿

This was the first visit to one of our new regular clients, and our goal was simple, give the garden a fresh start.

The team tackled a huge patch of clover that had completely taken over the backyard, cleared out countless giant spiky thistles hiding through the garden beds and along the fence line… and one of them was nearly the size of a car tyre! 😳🌱

Sometimes all a garden needs is a bit of attention to get it back under control before it becomes a much bigger job.

We’re looking forward to watching this one improve with each visit. ❤️

⏪ THROWBACK THURSDAY ⏪

Here’s one from the archives! This project was completed a few years ago, but it’s still one that we’re proud of.

The area down the side of the garage was uneven, awkward to walk through and not making good use of the space. We levelled the entire pathway, installed landscape fabric, and finished it with drainage gravel to create a practical, low-maintenance access way to the backyard.

While we were there, we also transformed an area under the patio that had been nothing but uneven clay for years, creating a clean, level gravel space that’s far more usable. We even took the opportunity to level out several dips and holes around the yard to make the whole backyard safer and easier to enjoy.

Sometimes it’s the small projects that make the biggest difference to how a property functions.

It’s always fun looking back at where we’ve come from over the years. Thanks to everyone who’s trusted us with their homes along the way. ❤️
