🎨 COLOUR MATCHING — HERE’S SOMETHING YOU MIGHT NOT KNOW

Found the perfect colour from one paint brand, but want to use another brand’s paint? No problem.

For example, you might love a Taubmans colour, but want your walls painted using Dulux paint.

Most of the time, the paint shop can search the colour name or code in their system and translate it into their own paint formula.

But what happens if they don’t have that colour in their system? 👇

There’s another option.

Simply grab a sample pot of the original colour from the brand that makes it. Once the sample is painted out and dry, it can be taken to your preferred paint supplier and professionally colour matched.

Their colour-matching technology can scan the physical colour and create a formula for it in the paint brand and product you actually want to use.

So when choosing colours, you’re not always locked into the brand that created the colour.

Love the colour. Choose the paint. 🎨👌

Tip: Colour matching can get extremely close, but slight variations can occur between different paint brands, products and sheen levels. Always check a sample before committing to the whole job.

Colour selection can completely change the feel of a home and it's not just about picking your favourite shade.

For this project, we've gone with:
🎨 Natural White Half on the ceilings
🎨 Natural White Low Sheen on the walls
🎨 Natural White Semi-Gloss on the woodwork

But in the bathrooms and wet areas, we've switched to Lexicon Quarter.

Why? Because the white tiles would make Natural White appear creamy and make the tiles look dull or even dirty. Lexicon Quarter keeps everything looking crisp, clean and consistent, creating a seamless finish throughout the space.

This was a full door restoration. We had to take this back to bare timber and start the process again.

Once we sanded back and repainted this door came up a treat.
