These photos show decades of incorrect remediation and the importance of using the right contractor for the job.
During demolishing, we’ve uncovered three layers of waterproofing and four layers of screed and tiles on this project.
Although leaving the existing tiles and membrane might have initially saved some costs, the extra layers failed to address water ingress, and caused micro-cracking in the concrete slab due to the additional weight applied to the suspended slab.
