Most homes are in areas that have active soil so this is why most people are preferring the adjustable piers. A 16ml rod is concreted in every 2nd pier with a nut and washer at the top like a tie down and cross bracing to help against any future ground movement from front to back and left to right. Adjustable piers have a 5inch wind that can allow you to stabilise your home now while also allowing you to adjust your doors if they become stuck through rain or drought and any future works. 😃

This was a fun brickwork rescue after a naughty tree root lifted the slab on the landing and pushed the brickwork inwards. We replaced the brickwork (with the closest colour of bricks to match) and raised the landing to make it all safe again for the tenants to use their front door.
