This full-time opportunity based in Bacchus Marsh in Victoria you will report to the Workshop Supervisor. To be successful you will have a keen eye for detail.

This is a dynamic role that requires a hands-on and energetic person, who is organised and able to work quickly and accurately while maintaining safe work practices and following procedures. To be successful in this role you will be able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve a consistently high standard of work.

Qualifications & experience
Current Drivers Licence
Current forklift licence
Experience operating vehicles, tools and equipment used in machinery
Experience with basic computer functions
A good level of fitness

Tasks & responsibilities
Wash and detail equipment
Safely move equipment & machinery
Keep the site organised, tidy & presentable
Keep work areas clean & tidy
Sort stock & move supplies to storage areas
Deliver & pick up machinery, supples, parts etc when required
Work in a safe manner by complying with all health & safety policies, procedures & guidelines

Chief Group are proud to contribute to providing a pathway for future inclusion and success for our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Through our connection with verified Indigenous businesses and social enterprises along with our commitment to creating opportunities for Indigenous people, businesses and communities, Chief Group’s contribution on the Tiger Brennan Drive Project saw Chief Group:
- Provide 15 apprenticeships and traineeships to our indigenous workforce and providing a capacity for future growth opportunity and employment.
- Maintain a 98% retention rate for our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People across the duration of the Project. We continue to retain many of those people across our current business and projects.
- Assisted our local communities by providing additional skills to the workforce that included first aid training and provide supplies that could be taken out to the larger indigenous community

BMD successfully collaborated with the Northern Territory Government Department of Infrastructure to deliver the $88 million Tiger Brennan Drive Duplication in Darwin. BMD’s senior management met with the Traditional Custodians prior to construction and undertook cultural awareness training to understand and appreciate the context of the region. The project finished up in 2016, surpassing many milestones including a peak Indigenous workforce of 23.5%. On top of this, 14 Indigenous operator trainees were engaged to complete a Certificate III Plant Operations certificate.
