Yesterday, we got an SOS call from Hannah at Bats QLD.

They needed some help rescuing a little grey headed flying fox that had got himself into a bit of a pickle. These guys are listed as vulnerable species.

The little guy was about 8 metres up in the top of a palm tree at Cedar Grove, and tangled up pretty badly. He would have had no chance of surviving ... so we sent Big T, our climber out there to assist in getting him down.

This story has a happy ending, and we managed to get him down safely and he is now in capable hands, to be untangled and checked over.

We were more than happy to lend a hand, and the little guy looked pretty grateful when he was finally safe and wrapped up in a warm towel!
