The Global crew recently hit for an afternoon of go-karting – and let’s just say the “friendly” competition didn’t stay friendly for long.

After plenty of questionable racing lines and absolutely no shortage of confidence, the podium was decided:

A huge congratulations to Harry on completing his four-year electrical apprenticeship with Global Cabling.

Over the past four years, Harry has worked hard, built his skills and earned the respect of everyone around him. Along the way, he was even recognised as a NECA Award nominee - a fantastic achievement that reflects his dedication and potential.

Now a qualified electrician, we're excited to see him continue to grow, take on new challenges and power his career forward with the Global team.

From a 20-year-old receptionist in 2001 to a key part of the Global family - what a journey.

Finance Manager Kate joined us right at the beginning, when the business had just moved into its first office (only six months in!) and has grown alongside Global ever since - stepping into finance and helping shape what we are today.

But it’s more than a job.

Kate built a career here, raised a family, and found a workplace that feels like home. Her reason for staying? The people. A team that cares, shared values, and a culture where everyone is treated like family.

And that’s exactly how we see her.

From Allan holding his daughter 30 years ago, to now holding his granddaughter Luna - this photo is a reminder that behind every project, every milestone and every late night on site, it’s always been about people.

What started as a small family business has grown into a trusted name across electrical, communications, security, fire detection and more - built on quality work, strong relationships and a team that genuinely cares.
