Our team recently had the opportunity to support Fair Game, spending a rewarding day helping clean, restore and prepare sporting footwear and equipment for communities across Australia.

From running shoes and footy boots to a range of sporting equipment, the team rolled up their sleeves and worked together to ensure every item was cleaned, refreshed and ready for its next home. It was a hands-on experience that highlighted how simple actions can make a meaningful difference, helping create greater access to sport and recreation.

A big thank you to Fair Game for the opportunity to contribute to such a worthwhile initiative and for the important work they do in supporting communities through sport.

If you're Perth-based and interested in joining one of our future volunteering sessions with Fair Game, we'd love to hear from you. Please contact [email protected] to express your interest.

From flying the flag for MATES to asking a simple but important question, "R U OK?" - last week was all about checking in, staying connected, and looking out for one another.

Across our sites, we proudly raised flags in recognition of the important work MATES in Construction does to support mental health and su***de prevention across our industry.

We also brought our teams together over a barbecue, with plenty of burgers and some great conversations. It was a chance for everyone to step away from their desks, connect with their colleagues, and take a moment to check in with one another.

A big thank you to the Connectors, ASIST workers, and volunteers whose ongoing commitment helps make these initiatives possible. Their dedication is making a real difference and strengthening our industry, one conversation at a time.

These moments are a reminder that every conversation matters, and every mate matters.

If you or someone you know is doing it tough, support is always there when you need it. The MATES Helpline can be reached 24/7 on 1300 642 111.

Meet Wai, one of our Project Engineers.

Originally from Myanmar, Wai moved to Australia to pursue her engineering studies and joined Melchor in March 2025. She quickly found her rhythm on site – drawn to the fast-paced variety, the chance to learn something new every day and being surrounded by great people.

“It makes a big difference knowing you’re part of a team that genuinely has your back and wants to help you grow and develop professionally,” she said.

We’re proud to have Wai on the team.
