Did someone use a lightsaber on this door? π€£
πͺ When our inspector showed up to this Pre-Purchase Inspection, the team had questions.
"Did someone use a lightsaber on the door?"
"The ex changed the locks!"
"This is what I look like when I get back from the gym..."
Jokes aside, a door in this condition is a genuine defect that belongs in your inspection report.
A broken door frame and compromised seal means the property is not secure. It also creates a direct path for moisture to work into the surrounding frame, which leads to rot, mould, and damage to internal linings over time. And any gap like this is an open invitation for insects and other pests.
Our extensive team of highly experienced registered builders flags defects like this so buyers know exactly what they're purchasing before settlement. π
