Doors like this are nearly all brush work. Every panel, moulding and bead is cut in by hand, and the glass has to come out of it clean. It's slow, careful work, and on a period home it's the first thing anyone sees.

Not everyone knows this, but we hang wallpaper as well as paint.

This powder room was papered in a trailing black and cream botanical print. The pattern is carried around the corners and matched at the joins, and the paper is cut in tight around the window. The sash and architraves are painted a deep green.

Period hallways are some of the hardest rooms in a house to paint well. Long straight runs, arches, cornices, picture rails and a lot of joinery all meet in one narrow space, and every line shows.

This one is in Orange, with a striped orange and cream upper wall above the timber floor. It's the kind of interior repaint we like doing: careful cutting in and clean lines where two colours meet.
