Four new dog parks in under twelve months.

Kings Park at Upper Ferntree Gully, Sweeney Reserve at Berwick, Essex Park Drive at Berwick and Alma Reserve at Cockatoo.

They look simple, but most of the work is underground. Drainage is what keeps a dog park usable through a wet winter, and two of these three needed a fair bit of it.

Which one is your dog's pick?

Culvert upgrade finished at The Briars, Mount Martha.

We carried out the works for Mornington Peninsula Shire to a Melbourne Water approved standard. New in situ wingwalls, rock beaching, guard rail, asphalt and line marking.

Four weeks, working around a live waterway the whole time. It means the crossing handles the water properly and the reserve stays open in all weather.

A new dog park for Cockatoo.

We built the space at Alma Reserve for , with two separate areas so quieter dogs have somewhere of their own away from the busier section.

New fencing, drainage, footpaths, planting and furniture throughout. It's been a wet few weeks on the ground, but a great spot for the local dog community now it is finished.

Some projects get a reaction, and this one has been something else.

We recently renewed and expanded the BMX pump track at Bunyip for . The track was rebuilt and extended to suit everyone from first timers through to more experienced riders, with new drainage, asphalt, a shelter and furniture to finish off the space.

The community response has been incredible. Riders are turning up from well outside Bunyip to have a go, and the track has barely had a quiet day since it opened.

A great new spot for families and young riders. Good work to everyone involved.

The best jobs are the ones where the whole team is pulling in the same direction, on site and in the office.

“I started APS in 2011 with a clear goal: deliver quality civil and drainage work, on time, with minimal fuss for the client. That goal hasn’t changed as we’ve grown. We still approach every project the same way, assess the site conditions, develop a solution that actually works for that specific job, and get it done to a standard we’re proud of.” Matt Pettifer, Director

Teamwork is one of our values, and it shows up in how the crews work together every day.

Safer roads start with good design 🚗🚲

Our team has just wrapped up a roundabout upgrade at Livingstone Boulevard, Pakenham, for

The works included upgrades to the drainage pits and pipes, new kerb and channel, and new pram crossings and footpath, giving the community better pedestrian access alongside a smoother, safer road for drivers and cyclists.

The whole job was completed in a tight ten day window over the school holidays, so we could work around the surrounding businesses with as little disruption as possible.

It's this kind of project we love: roads that work for everyone, whether you're behind the wheel, on foot, or on two wheels.

New dog park at Kings Park, Upper Ferntree Gully! 🐕

Over six weeks we built a new dog park for on a flood prone site that needed significant drainage works to make it all stack up.

The job covered the dog park itself, water supply and a drinking fountain, a footpath and concrete crossing, fencing, a shelter, furniture and signage.

The tricky part was building on a flood prone site through a run of very wet weather. The drainage had to do the heavy lifting to keep the site usable during the build and once the park opened.

Completed on time and on budget, with great feedback from locals and community groups already.

A win for the four legged residents of Upper Ferntree Gully 🐾

15 years! 🎉

This year APS Civil clocks up 15 years building across South East Melbourne, the Mornington Peninsula and Gippsland.

We started as a family run business and we still are one. Footpaths, drainage, roads, kerb and channel, landscaping and waterway works, we have delivered all of it for councils and communities right across the region.

A big thank you to the councils who have backed us, the crews who have put in the work, and the communities we have built in over the years.

Here is to the next 15 👷

Proud to be backing the Nar Nar Goon Football Netball Club again this season.

To all the families giving up their weekends for local sport, the early starts, the canteen shifts, the lifts to training and the cheering from the sidelines, we see you. You’re the heart of these clubs.

Good luck this season from the team at APS Civil.
