Inside our Stirling House

Views to the garden are framed by a horizontal datum of dark tones, intentionally drawing out the colour, texture and greenery of the landscape.

The same dark tones also provide a quiet backdrop, framing the owners vibrant art collection

Some more images from our recently completed Stirling House. The three connected pavilions are carefully positioned between the existing mature trees, with the footprint weaving along the natural contours of the site - preserving the botanical character of the landscape that makes the site so special.

Designed as a quiet response to its leafy Adelaide Hills setting, Stirling House recedes into the landscape, drawing out the colours, textures and greenery of the site.

A palette of dark metal cladding, natural stone and timber allows the landscape to remain central to the experience of the home.

Our Adelaide Hills House twists and turns with the contours of its site. Rammed-earth blade walls divide the interior, while a pitched roof floats dramatically overhead, opening the house to the landscape and sky.

Inspired by the simple forms and honest materiality of Kangaroo Island’s agricultural sheds, this concept design for a new rural home combines galvanised corrugated steel, expressive structural elements, deep verandahs and operable screens to create a home that responds to both climate and place.
