SMALL FAN. TOO MUCH DUCT. A BURNT-OUT EXHAUST FAN!

Recently, ACE Sydney Electricians attended a job in Silverwater to replace a failed bathroom exhaust fan.

The existing fan was undersized for the job and connected to approximately 15 metres of ductwork. This created high resistance to airflow, putting the fan under strain and contributing to its failure.

Why does the right exhaust fan matter?

* Correct fan for the ductwork: Long duct runs can restrict airflow, especially when using an unsuitable axial fan.
* Better bathroom ventilation: We recommended an inline exhaust fan designed to handle longer duct runs and improve the removal of steam and bathroom odours.
