5,700 km. Ten and a half days. One incredible record.
Last month, our Director Matt Tisdall broke the Guinness World Record for the fastest time to cross all 10 Australian deserts, shaving nearly four days off the previous record.
Covering approximately 5,700 km, the route included the Tanami Highway, Canning Stock Route, Gunbarrel Highway, Connie Sue Highway, Anne Beadell Highway, Simpson Desert Crossing and Birdsville Track.
Much of the route is extremely isolated and rugged, with Matt going several days without encountering another person. This achievement is the culmination of five years of attempts to break the record, and we are incredibly pleased to see him finally accomplish this outstanding feat.
