Bit going on this week with some bulk excavation on a job we're currently part of.
The D6T has been ripping and pushing through some hard ground. The ZX260 is throwing bulk material, and the water cart is keeping moisture in the material and the dust down. Good to see the crew and gear working well together and making solid progress.

New to the fleet: Hitachi ZX260LC
We're proud to welcome the newest member of the Richardson Civil & Rural Earthmoving team: a 26-tonne Hitachi ZX260, fitted out with Trimble 3D GPS machine control.

Riverbank reshaping, completed ✅
Our crew recently finished reshaping a steep, eroded riverbank beside new concrete stairs and a retaining wall.
With tight access and very little room to move, we ran an excavator from the top of the bank alongside a mini excavator below. That let us shape the batter carefully around the new structures and established trees.
The job was completed safely and efficiently, and the bank is now ready for spray seeding.

A retaining wall we built a while back — sandstone blocks with saw-cut steps built in for easy access to the front lawn. Access was tight working under the carport, but we got it done without a hitch. Great result and a good example of the kind of civil/landscaping work we can handle, even on tricky sites.

Been flat out with the D6T lately, knocking over some rural jobs across the district.
Cleared and pulled old fence lines ready for new fencing – old timber and wire cleaned up and out of the way, ground left tidy for the fencing crew to get straight into it. Also been busy desilting dams, getting that built-up silt out and capacity back up ahead of the warmer months.
Nothing beats seeing a job go from overgrown and full to cleared and functional. If you've got a fence line that needs clearing or a dam that's silted up, give us a call – happy to have a look and give you a price.

From vacant block to build-ready. 🚜
Another site prep job completed by the Richardson Civil & Rural Earthmoving team — clearing, cut and fill, and precision trimming with 1% fall across site to get this block ready for the builders to move straight in.
Attention to detail on the earthworks means fewer surprises once construction starts. Proud of the result on this one.
