Don't replace your furniture, it can be so much cheaper to refinish parts of or all of your existing pieces, cleaning up years of day to day abuse, and with some of the best new finishes there is making tops water resistant. Just finishing up this 1920's Oak arm chair in my shop, it had been chopped down many decades ago so I had to measure out and turn extensions on the front legs, then remake a full length set of rear legs, the back had also been upholstered over, so I stripped it back to reveal the original back slats, so it's off to the upholsterers now for the client to choose their upholstery 🙂

An interesting restoration, a pair of Asian side table/stools, not particularly old, but lots of character and made from a nice Rosewood timber with japaned black bases, the client was delighted with how they came up, they were terribly beat up, unfortunately I didn't take a before pic, so you'll just have to believe me that I'm brilliant at what I do 😉😁
