Hi Grove community 👋
A little off topic from plumbing today, but this one hits pretty close to home.
First and foremost, Sam is okay, and we’re so bloody grateful for that.
Yesterday brought back a lot of memories for me.
Back in 2010, a lot of us Riverland locals got a phone call none of us will ever forget. Our good mate and school friend Corey lost his life because of dangerous driving and someone making a terrible decision on the road.
Yesterday could have been another one of those phone calls.
I’m so grateful I’m in a position now where I can put my team in newer, safer vans. You never think too much about it until something like this happens, but yesterday’s outcome could have been very different.
So if you’re second guessing whether to upgrade your car or van, or the accountant is on your back telling you to hold off, sometimes you’ve just got to find a way to make it work.
Safety has to come first.
Educate yourself. Educate your kids. Educate your team. Don’t take risks on the road, and don’t assume it won’t happen to you.
Cars and vans can be replaced.
People can’t.
Stay safe out there ❤️
