PART-TIME DIESEL/PLANT MECHANIC – Tanawha, Sunshine Coast

We're looking for a qualified diesel/plant mechanic to maintain our small commercial landscaping fleet — trucks, utes, plant, and turf equipment (Kubota, John Deere) — from our Tanawha depot.

This could suit two very different people:

🔧 Semi-retired or winding down? Steady, predictable part-time hours (Thu/Fri, plus Saturdays Nov–Mar) with no emergency call-outs and pre-planned time off always respected. Use your experience without going back to full-time workshop life.

🚐 Running your own mobile mechanic business? For the right person committing to service our fleet on a regular, ongoing basis, we'd also consider a lease arrangement on our fully equipped shed (4-post and 2-post hydraulic lifts) — a base for your own work outside your hours with us. Happy to discuss what that could look like.

You'll need: current trade quals (diesel fitting/heavy vehicle/plant or equivalent), broad hands-on mechanical experience, ABN + contractor insurance.

Big things are happening at Smart Pups Assistance Dogs and we're proud to be part of it!

As part of our commitment to supporting our local community, Aussie Parks & Gardens is a proud sponsor of the Smart Pups Puppy Pen Upgrade project.

Smart Pups is an incredible Sunshine Coast organisation that trains assistance dogs to support children with disabilities and their families and the impact they have is truly life changing!

We just received a progress update on the new pens, and the transformation is already looking amazing. Soon these beautiful pups in training will have a safe, enriching space to play, rest, and develop as they prepare to change a child's life.

A huge shoutout to Wayne for going above and beyond!
