Running Session 2 of our internal Level 1 AI training with the team today.

What’s blown me away isn’t just what the team is learning. It’s how much I’ve improved by delivering the same session for a second time.

In just seven days, through self-assessment and refining how I teach, I’ve become significantly better. That’s exactly what I’m trying to instil in our team: continuous improvement.

If you can become four or five times better at one skill in a week, imagine where you’ll be in 12 months.

You can’t just hire an AI specialist and expect transformation. You have to learn it, break it, implement it, tailor it to your business, and then train your people to use it effectively.

If you don’t understand how to apply AI, it’s just noise. But when it’s channelled in the right direction, it can genuinely 10x output.

I love learning this technology, but building a team of warriors committed to growth and continuous improvement will be even more rewarding.

The footprint for the new Melton Hospital build is absolutely massive.

For an infrastructure build of this magnitude, the margin for error disappears. Every detail we are executing out here was proven, tested, and validated months ago during our in-house visual mockup phase.

Our design, fabrication, and installation crews are completely aligned and ready for the next phases of construction.

We’re proud to be working alongside so many great teams across such a demanding project.

Massive scale, great partners, and plenty of hard work ahead.

About six months ago, we posted about our team kicking off the visual mockup to deliver the full cladding package for the new Melton Hospital build.

That project has now hit the ground, and the footprint out here is massive. Seeing the structures start to climb really puts the scale into perspective.

When you take on a major tier-1 build, the margin for error disappears. This is exactly why we prove every single detailing and facade system variant back in the shop before a single component ever reaches a site like this.

The heavy lifting from our design, drafting, and fabrication teams is well underway, and our installation crews are ready to step up as the build progresses.

This is a landmark project for the region, and we’re proud to be driving the facade delivery.

Not long ago, I shared our goal for Proline: “everything installed by Proline, made by Proline hands.”

Today we took another big step toward that. We just finished installing our new Muratori Ranger CNC, which gives us two machines running side-by-side.

Practically speaking, this means we’ve moved more of our complex fabrication in-house, increased our output, and have the quality control exactly where it should be, with us.

It’s a great milestone for Proline, but more than that, I’m just proud of how this team operates. The whole group is constantly moving together toward higher standards and better ways of doing things.

We’re only just getting started.

A big thank you to for having me on the Jimmy Talks Construction podcast.

It was a privilege to have a real conversation about the construction industry, the challenges we face, where things are heading, and to share that discussion with your audience.

Pretty surreal to see the episode become the most watched on the channel this year.

Thanks to everyone who tuned in and engaged with it.

Some projects stop you in your tracks when you see them from the air.

NextDC M3 in Footscray is one of them. A hyperscale data centre that’s hard to put into words until you see the scale of it for yourself.

A project of this size takes countless teams, trades, and specialists all pulling in the same direction. Proline is proud to be one of them, delivering the cladding package alongside as part of a much bigger collaborative effort.

The logistics, the sequencing, and the coordination across a site this size are a reminder of what the industry is capable of when everyone does their part.

Still plenty of work ahead. Proud to be involved.

It wasn’t that long ago that this same group of guys and I were doing any cladding job we could get our hands on.

And I mean any job. If someone was willing to give us a crack, we were there.

A good portion of the Proline team have been around since before the company existed. Family members. Boys I went to school with out in the western suburbs. People who jumped onboard when we had nothing to show anyone, and when the jobs were small, just because they liked what we stood for.

I say it a lot, but I say it because it’s true. This company was built by those people.

So when I see that same group of guys now, running crane picks on a curved GRC facade, managing 700kg corner pieces that chip like glass if you let them swing a millimetre too far, holding that standard at height on a job of this scale, something hits different.

I’m proud of the work. But I’m even more proud of the people doing it.
