I recently carved aboriginal artwork into approx 40 square metres of 52 MPA concrete, which is part of the new water park that Regal Innovations is building for the City of Newcastle in Foreshore Park. Possibly the hardest work, physically speaking, I have done in a long while, but a fantastic outcome and another happy customer in the end.

One of the most challenging yet satisfying projects I have worked on since I started this business, was also the first I picked up, thanks to my mate and Director of Taskforce Veteran, Duncan Burck.

The Hunter Anzac Memorial at Branxton was the brainchild of Brett Wild, who founded and was the Chairperson of Taskforce Veteran.

His passion to recognise and remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom drove the inception, fundraising and development of this project over 7 years. He was supported by a loyal board of directors and, sadly, passed away before he could see the end of the project.

This is a lasting legacy of Brett’s and of Taskforce Veteran, and I feel lucky to have been involved.

Qadri Stone has been busy!

Over the course of the past few weeks I sponsored the mighty , where my son plays goalie for the under 13’s, and saw my logo on the fence for the first time. Looks great, thanks and NOFC!

I delivered my first job for The Vintage at Pokolbin, part of the John Stevens Group, thanks to the patronage of James Good and & K Revegetation & Landscaping.

I cut, shaped and installed a plinth for the Hunter Anzac Memorial, on behalf of Taskforce Veteran, and helped Julie Squires and her mate Fred install her magnificent bronze statue of a lone soldier from WW1.

I continued to desalinate and clean the internal facade of Christ Church Cathedral Newcastle for .

The brilliant photographer, .saxby , treated her bestie, Bethany Hanson, and I to an artist guided tour of her emotive and moving exhibition at Regional Art Gallery. It is so beautiful, I encourage you to go check it out while her exhibition runs this next month.

I saw the sun rise and felt so very grateful to be alive and fighting for my dreams.

Busy week restoring Quigley Grave in Booragul on Lake Macquarie.

Cleaning, desalinating, patching, scrubbing, rust treating and completing a minimally invasive restoration job on this 160 year old monument, sandstone kerb and cast iron fence.
