We have recently carried out testing and tagging of electrical equipment at Meals on Wheels branches throughout Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and Port Stephens.
Newcastle Meals on Wheels is a not-for-profit community based volunteer organisation that provides meals, wellness checks and social connections to the elderly, people living with disabilities and vulnerable persons Aust wide.
TESTING AND TAGGING ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT
Regular inspection of electrical equipment will help identify damage and electrical faults.
How often should you have your items tested?
The PAT testing frequency depends on how frequently your appliances are being used. We recommend the following as a minimum:
• 3 months: building, construction and demolition
• 6 months: factories, production and warehouses
• 12 months: For devices and appliances that are used for day-to-day tasks, such as IT equipment and kitchen appliances ie; microwave, toaster, fridge a PAT test should be conducted every 12 months.
We have been providing testing and tagging services to businesses in the Newcastle/ Lake Macquarie area for over 8 years. We understand the importance of compliance with safety regulations and will work with you to provide an electrical maintenance program that identifies potential hazards.
If you want to know more about testing and tagging for your business or home give us a call.
