Just a little update! 🚐

Since becoming a dad, I've definitely had to learn how to juggle things a little differently. Running B-Z, keeping up with builds, answering enquiries, putting together quotes, and now trying to spend as much time as I can with Freddie in his early days has been a bit of a balancing act!

So if you've sent through an enquiry or are waiting on a quote from me, I just want to say thanks for being patient. I might take a little longer than usual to get back to you, but I'm still working hard behind the scenes to keep everything moving.

I'm really enjoying this new chapter and making the most of the time I get with my son, while still putting plenty of time into B-Z.

Come along with Tommy while he builds the fridge cabinet for Kirsten's pop-top HiAce! 🚐

There's a lot more that goes into a cabinet like this than simply cutting a few pieces of timber. Everything needs to be measured, cut, assembled, and fitted to make sure it works perfectly within the layout of the van.

MEET THE TEAM | TOMMY AKA TLO 👋🏼

If you've been following B-Z for a while, you might have seen Tommy popping up in a few of our builds, so we thought it was time you officially met him!

Jamie and Tommy actually met when they were 21, doing a season in Ibiza back in 2015. After travelling through Asia, Tommy eventually made his way over to Australia.
When B-Z was just getting started and the workshop was still in Sydney, Tommy would lend a hand on previous builds, helping out with all sorts of bits and pieces as the business began to grow. When the time finally came for B-Z to bring someone onto the team, Tommy made the move to Newcastle last September and we've been working together ever since.

Since joining the team, we've already built 7 vans together, and Tommy is also trained as one of our Cork On applicators.
At the moment, you'll find Tommy working on a few different builds in the workshop. He's currently building cabinets for Kirsten's pop-top hiace build.

Tommy has been an awesome asset to the B-Z team, and we're stoked to have him on board! Keep an eye out for more of Tommy in our build videos, although you'll probably recognise him by now anyway! 😃🚐

Answering Your FAQs | The Washing Machine in Gus the Bus 🚌

Ever since we installed a washing machine in Gus the Bus, we've had heaps of questions about it! So let's answer some of the most common ones.

- What washing machine did we use?
We used the NCE 3kg Wall Mounted Washing Machine. It's designed specifically for caravans and motorhomes, making it a great option when space is limited.

- Doesn't it make the van top heavy?
No. This washing machine is actually designed to be wall mounted, so it's installed as intended. It's securely mounted to a reinforced section of the van, making it a practical solution for campervan builds.

- What about the overall weight of the van?
Weight is something we consider from day one. Every battery, appliance, water tank, sheet of ply, and accessory contributes to the overall weight, so we carefully plan every build to stay within the vehicle's allowable weight limits.
