Thinking about adding a pop-top or canopy to your van or Troopy fitout? 🚐 There’s a reason they’re so popular! You get extra head space, another sleeping area, better ventilation and a whole lot more usable space, without actually making the van any bigger.

For smaller vans especially, being able to gain that extra room when you're parked up can make a massive difference. Then when you're ready to drive, simply drop it back down and you're back to your normal road height.

We've fitted out a few vans with pop-tops and it's one of those things that can make a big difference to how comfortable the van is to actually live and travel in.

A bit of a different bed system in this Toyota Hilux with fibreglass canopy! 🚐 Originally, the bed was just one sheet of plywood that pulled out and rested on the side supports. The problem was, the mattress was sitting directly on the fibreglass and plywood with nowhere for air to get underneath.

So we’ve come up with a slightly different idea 👀 We’re adding ventilation underneath the mattress to allow some airflow and help the mattress breathe, while still keeping the pull out bed system.

A little change to the original setup, but hopefully a much better solution for the space!
