📢 Heads up Ausgrid community!
A storm system is still developing off the coast this weekend, bringing more strong winds and heavy rain across our network.
The worst of the weather is likely on Saturday August 2, with wind gusts possibly reaching up to 100km/h and heavy widespread rainfall. While the forecast may change, we’re keeping a close eye on it and will share updates as they come.
In the meantime:
✅ Secure outdoor items like furniture and trampolines to prevent damage.
🔌 Turn off and unplug appliances to protect them from power surges.
📱 Charge your devices and save Ausgrid’s outage map: ausgrid.com.au/outages.
💡 Avoid fallen powerlines, always assume they’re live and keep at least 8m away.
