Life has been a wide ride lately.

In between a full time job, a partner who travels for work, ailing parents/grandparents, the podcast, project managing the house build, kids, the garden etc etc life has been full.

To the point that I haven’t been making space or enjoying squeezing in the podcast. I have been searching for a co-host who also has the passion and time for Practical Permaculture but I haven’t found a good fit.

On Father’s Day over a pub meal, my bestie and I were discussing all things motherhood (ironic?). And we decided that could be a fab podcast topic. So practical permaculture will be going into hibernation while I birth a new podcast with my bestie.

I hope to dive back into this one day but at the moment just isn’t doable to be a one woman show scheduling, interviewing, editing, producing and marketing Practical Permaculture.

I’ve had some epic experiences and met some amazing humans along the way. I’ve also met people (strangers!) who have become friends and e-pen pals. I will cherish these relationships and feel privileged that you let me int your lives.

For for the time being, bye! If you want to join me on my next journey head to . ✌️

I’ve set myself a challenge this year to make 2025 the year I embrace composting!

I’ll be honest I’ve NEVER been consistent in my composting habits. I have .kate book and it has been so inspiring. It has made me look at ways to make composting easier and integrate it into my daily habits.

It’s composting awareness week and so what better way to start?

Why I want to compost… (it’s always good to start with your why!)

🌍 Composting isn’t just about reducing waste—it’s about creating something valuable.

💰 #1 reduce my garden costs STOP buying compost

 🌳Supports healthier gardens and ecosystems

🪱  Creates nutrient-rich soil

💧  Helps soil retain water

🚮  Cuts down landfill waste

 💨 Reduces harmful greenhouse gases

HOW I plan to do this:

🫙 dedicated bench top caddy with EASY open lid

🍃 Bokashi Composting as one option

✋ STOP hot composting, too much pressure- Ive gone back to slow composting and trench composting

One small act, so many big wins.
