Boots on the ground - Newcastle SynCon

Solar Steel crews are on site at Transgrid's 330kV substation in Killingworth, scheduling, supplying and installing the reinforcement for the Newcastle synchronous condenser foundations.

380 tonnes of reo across the project

Part of Transgrid's $1B+ System Strength Project - two synchronous condensers strengthening the NSW grid.

Solar Steel is excited to announce we've been awarded the reinforcing package at MacKillop Catholic College, Warnervale, teaming up with North Construction & Building.

$23M school build. 400+ tonne.

Full package, in-house. Schedule, supply and install. One specialist contractor, start to finish.

Job Recap - Singleton Bypass

At peak, We ran just shy of 6 decks per week over 2 crews @ 23 tonne a deck average, over a total of 75 decks.
Which wouldnt be possible without also turning over 6 of the 150, 2 tonne diaphragms poured prior.
Each deck consisted of 350-400 tac welds to set deck profiles.
That's close to 150 tonnes a week at peak! & 2250 tac welds!, plus the rest of the teams in other areas over the 7 bridges.

Managed & Co-ordinated 8 fully loaded semis a week at peak with our partners Mesh & Bar Newcastle (NSW)

We also completed a milestone lift of 2x 22 tonne, prefabricated and welded 12m by 9m blade walls!

Massive accomplishment, Thanks to everyone that helped us complete one of our biggest jobs of all time!
