Board prep! Just when I thought I would square away the workshop just trying to get a start on the order.

No excuse for letting the workshop get into this state, but I have had a few projects on the go and honestly just wanted to get them out of the shop. Feels good to start restoring order….. well a semblance of order….

Well not quite ‘dug’ a hole but you get the idea……. Great forstner bit from Boutique Woodworking Suppliers made short work of it! In case you are wondering, the audio is from an amazing Australian movie called The Castle. Very iconic here is Australia…..

I started doing this as I kept throwing away my spacer. So now a little more motivated to keep it……. Yes !!!!

These little picnic benches are proving popular. 4th one I have made (but this one is a labour of love, heading to a local school that will need more seating for their students. Been out of the shop for a while, but doing something for others is really doing something for myself. Was a bit of fun!

Always have loved this little stop blocks from Katz-Moses Tools but just found another use for it today!!!!!!

Request from client was to try and make the letters more succinct (?)So cleaning up after the stencil work. Tedious without the right music!!!😂

Been a little nervous about this. To see if it actually worked. It did…… kind of. There was same bleeding around the edges of the letters. Even though I used thicker paper (thin card board) I think I would have had better success using a more firm stencil (plastic, timber) but I still will walk away from the experience wiser. Was going to consider a drawing of a bird, but unless a draw it on, I might need some more time doing the whole stencilling thing!
