Custom timber door and window unit from our Cooks Hill project, commonly referred to as “The Beast” when in the workshop.

A proper masterpiece of a joinery feature, crafted by the clever team at using Yellow Cedar and New Guinea Rosewood. Featuring double glazed windows, 65mm thick timber doors and finished in Dulux “Blowout” for a refreshing hit of colour.

Fitted with FritsJurgens pivot hinges, the doors hold perfectly at 90° and softly close at any other angle, seamlessly blending into the custom seating area and opening the space right up to the courtyard. A seriously well considered space from every angle

Site diary this week

Framing complete at Dudley, second storey cladding and roofing finished, and looking bloody good now the scaff is down. We’re onto lower roof cladding this week with rough in starting next week.

Belmont North framing is also complete and rough in has now kicked off, and how cute is the doggy door 🐾

There’s something special about looking back at a renovation side by side and seeing just how far it’s come. As much as we love the transformation, we also love spotting the traces of the original home still woven through the finished result. A fresh chapter, without losing the character that was there from the beginning

Every tradie had to learn school was easier the hard way 😆 Big shoutout to Noah, our work experience kid who’ll be with us every Wednesday for the rest of the year. He’s an absolute gun and already showing serious potential on site, and on camera 😆👏🏼

140 years old, carefully rebuilt to last another.

Our Cooks Hill project is special for so many reasons, but a stand out is the preservation of the original Victorian elements blended into the new modern design. Original features like the coal chute, decorative arches, pressed metal ceiling and decorative frieze have been retained and integrated into the build, rather than replaced

It’s a clean blend of the Victorian character and modern architecture. We are very grateful to have been part of rebuilding this historic home.
