Welcome to CLOVER, Kevin!
We’re so happy to welcome Kevin Miller to the CLOVER team as our Architectural Designer, bringing a strong background in architecture, steel fabrication design, 3D modelling and visualisation.

Kevin is already putting his skills to work across a range of projects, developing 3D renders, fly-throughs, rendered plans and visual montages for Green Adelaide, the Hutt Street Upgrade and Amberleigh master planned estate.

His work is helping us bring designs to life, communicate ideas more clearly and give clients and communities a stronger understanding of proposed outcomes.
Based in the Adelaide Hills, Kevin shares CLOVER’s connection to the region — and we’re very happy to have him as part of the team.

We’re making waves at seaside Wattle Reserve 🌊

Wattle Reserve Playspace Upgrade — construction has officially started!

Shaped through community engagement with local residents and nearby schools, the new playspace will introduce diverse play experiences, improve connections to existing reserve facilities, and create more opportunities for people of different ages and abilities to enjoy the reserve together.

Inspired by its coastal setting, the design features a playful mix of elements, including:
- A bespoke stingray-inspired play feature
- A new play boat, replacing the much-loved existing boat
- Sand digger and sand play space
- Beach ball-inspired spinning orb
- Swings and a flying fox

The playspace offers opportunities for challenge, movement and social play, alongside quieter spaces for our youngest visitors.

The existing shade structure and coastal views will be retained, complemented by new seating areas, BBQ facilities, picnic tables and a drink fountain. Designed to be durable and sustainable for coastal conditions, the upgraded playspace has been shaped by the community and responds to the needs of both people and the environment.

We’re excited to be delivering this project alongside City of Holdfast Bay and Adelaide Innovative Landscapes

We can’t wait to see Wattle Reserve Playspace come to life!

We've turned surplus infrastructure land into valuable public open space at Mulga Street Reserve, Brooklyn Park. Our Wellness Officer Olive give it the paw of approval.

Following the Marion Road and Sir Donald Bradman Drive Intersection Upgrade, CLOVER was engaged by the Department for Infrastructure and Transport to transform surplus land into a seamless extension of the existing Mulga Street Reserve.

The landscape creates a welcoming neighbourhood park that enhances the surrounding public realm while providing new opportunities for recreation, relaxation and connection. Designed to complement the existing reserve, the space balances functionality with planting and open green space to create a lasting community asset.

Developed in collaboration with the Department, the City of West Torrens and key stakeholders, the design embraces the principles of universal accessibility, Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD), Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) and ecologically sustainable development.

Three years on, the Adelaide Garden Guide for New Homes continues to provide practical guidance for creating greener, more climate-responsive residential landscapes across South Australia.

CLOVER led the project through stakeholder engagement, strategic planning, policy analysis and creative communications, translating complex planning requirements into an accessible and engaging design guide. Working closely with government agencies and industry stakeholders, the guide encourages practical design outcomes that support increased urban tree canopy, biodiversity, climate resilience and improved neighbourhood character.

Recognised nationally, the guide received the 2023 Australian Institute of Landscape Architects Award for Shade Smart and the for Landscape Planning, and a Commendation at the Planning Institute of Australia, acknowledging its innovative approach to addressing the challenges of urban infill while providing practical solutions that support greener, healthier communities.

The Adelaide Garden Guide for New Homes is a resource developed to help homeowners, designers, builders, planners, councils and developers create greener, cooler and more liveable residential landscapes across South Australia. Produced for Green Adelaide and the State Planning Commission, the guide provides practical, easy-to-follow advice on implementing the greening elements of the Planning and Design Code while maximising the benefits of trees, local native planting and quality soft landscaping within infill developments.

Projects like this are a reminder of why we do what we do. We're proud of what the CLOVER team created and of the lasting difference it continues to make.

It's always rewarding to look back on projects once they've had time to grow into their surroundings.

Working alongside DesignInc Adelaide, CLOVER developed the landscape masterplan for the Portside Christian College Senior School precinct, creating outdoor environments that connect seamlessly with the new learning spaces while strengthening the wider campus.

The design includes outdoor classrooms, an amphitheatre, shaded gathering spaces, quiet retreats and flexible recreation areas that encourage students to learn, collaborate and connect beyond the classroom. Water Sensitive Urban Design and generous tree planting create a greener, more resilient campus that will continue to grow with the College.

A fantastic project to be involved in, creating spaces that support learning, wellbeing and a strong sense of community.

CLOVER is proud to be the landscape architect behind the new Baloo Playspace, helping bring this imaginative and nature-inspired vision to life. Designed as a vibrant, inclusive destination, the playspace will become the heart of the new Woodland Walk community. It's fantastic to see the project progressing, and we can't wait to see local families enjoying the space in early 2027.

A new playspace is being built at Baloo Street, Ingle Farm.

Baloo Playspace will be adjacent to the new Woodland Walk development, providing a space for new and existing residents to enjoy, along with the broader community.

The community were invited to provide feedback on concept plans in November 2024, which helped to shape the final design and play experiences.

The playspace is designed to be accessible and inclusive with a mix of experiences, including nature-based play elements, musical features, an ampitheatre, play equipment, a flying fox, a basketball hoop, a netball ring, BBQ, shelters, seating, grassed areas and toilet facilities.

Construction will commence later this year and is expected to be completed by early 2027.

CLOVER is excited to see the Walkley's Road Corridor project titled Woodland Walk almost ready to break ground. We have been working with the City of Salisbury and the consultant team to deliver the landscape architecture for this exciting new community - an initiative of Council’s repurposing surplus, underutilised Council owned land to deliver residential housing opportunities that foster inclusive, thriving communities and address housing shortages.

Sometimes the best landscape details are often the ones people never notice. This spoon drain on Stephen Street, Mount Barker for Mount Barker District Council is a good example.

Designed to quietly manage stormwater, it collects and directs runoff while protecting surrounding paving, planting and public spaces. It might seem like a small detail, but it’s one of the elements that helps the streetscape perform well for years to come.
Rather than treating it as purely functional infrastructure, we designed the drain as an integrated part of the public realm. The materials, shape and detailing were carefully considered so it sits comfortably within the overall streetscape, proving that practical infrastructure can also contribute to the character and quality of a place.

Sometimes it’s the details beneath our feet that make the biggest difference! We are thrilled with the outcome.

Over the past few months we've been refreshing our workspace. From a one-person office and its collection of bits and pieces gathered over the years, to our lovely new space filled with:
· Natural hardwood slab desktops
· New flooring and bouncy wool carpet
· Soft lighting and comfy furniture
· Plenty of greenery because we are, after all, big plant lovers!

Being based in the Adelaide Hills, we wanted the space to feel connected to its surroundings—relaxed, natural and grounded. A place where our team can collaborate, create and enjoy the time we spend here... and pose with fruit if we want to.

We're thrilled with how it's come together. Thanks to our team for being part of the journey.

Frankie and Olive our Wellness Officers, are happy too!
