A quality finish starts well before the final coat of paint.

As the plastering progresses throughout this home, the focus is on creating clean, consistent surfaces that will support everything still to come, from paint and trims to cabinetry and the finer interior details.

Straight lines, smooth junctions and careful preparation may eventually disappear beneath the finished surfaces, but they have a significant influence on how refined those surfaces will look.

The best outdoor spaces feel connected to the home before the furniture ever arrives.

Dan and the Claypole Carpentry team are working through the alfresco structure, with the posts beginning to define the proportions and character of this outdoor area.

Alignment, scale and the relationship between the roofline and the home all contribute to how naturally an alfresco sits within the overall build.

Careful workmanship now allows the finished space to feel like a genuine extension of the home rather than something added beside it.

The main residence is only one part of how this property will be used.

The Fyfe team have been working on the shed alongside the home, adding another practical space designed to support everyday life on the property.

Whether we are working on the finer details of the house or the structures around it, the approach remains the same.

Good site management is about more than what gets built.

Rusty from Trade Safety recently stopped by site to run through the latest Work Health and Safety updates with the team, check paperwork is current and make sure the site is being kept clean, organised and safe.

Regular visits like these help keep everyone on the same page, support good habits onsite and make sure the standards behind the build are just as strong as the work you can see.

The exterior finish gets the attention, but the protection starts underneath it.

Before cladding and brickwork complete the facade, the James Hardie weather barrier creates an important protective layer around the home, helping prepare the building envelope for long term exposure to the elements.

Dan and the Claypole Carpentry team have the home wrapped and carefully detailed, giving the external finishes a properly prepared structure to build upon.

It is a part of the home that will eventually disappear from view, but its role remains long after the build is complete.
