You don’t need finished surfaces to start seeing the personality of a home.

At this stage of the build, the details that will define the finished spaces are already becoming clear.

The arched openings, generous windows, layered rooflines and proportions throughout the home are all beginning to reveal the intent behind the design.

For us as builders, this is where careful ex*****on matters. Bringing those details from the plans into the structure accurately ensures the character envisioned for the home carries through to the finished result.

A window can do much more than bring light into a room.

Its size and position can influence natural light, privacy, outlook and the way a space connects with its surroundings.

These decisions begin through the design process, with the homeowner, designer and builder working together to understand how each opening will function within the home.

For us, the focus is on bringing that design intent accurately into the build.

From the front elevation through to the rear, the form of this home is defined by its proportions, rooflines and the way each section relates to the next.

A home is experienced in more than one room at a time.

Sightlines consider what you see as you enter, move through and look across a home.

A doorway can frame a room, a hallway can draw the eye towards a feature, and the placement of an opening can create a visual connection between spaces that serve completely different purposes.

When those views are considered as part of the overall design, the home feels connected rather than simply divided into rooms.

It is one of those details you may not consciously notice, but you certainly feel when it has been done well.

This wine cellar was designed as part of the architecture, not tucked away from it.

Set behind frameless glass, the black steel racking, illuminated stone wall and clean lines transform a functional storage space into a striking feature within our latest handover.

It is a strong example of how thoughtful placement, layered lighting and material contrast can give a practical room real presence within the home.
