Custom alterations and a fresh new finish 💦

Along with resurfacing, we can also make custom alterations to help you get more out of your pool.

For this one, we built in a new bench seat before completing the full resurface, creating a spot to sit back and relax that blends in with the rest of the pool 👌

If you’ve been thinking about adding seating or making other changes to your pool, send us a message and we’ll chat through what’s possible!

This pool was completely stripped back and converted from its old liner system into a strong, seamless fibreglass surface—finished in a crisp blue gelcoat and ready for many more Perth summers.

Another pool rescued from a resurfacing job that barely lasted a few months. 😬

The previous contractor skipped the proper preparation and didn’t apply a fibreglass layer, leaving the paint to peel and fail long before it should have.

We stepped in, stripped back the failed coating, properly prepared the surface and applied a complete fibreglass resurfacing system with a quality gelcoat finish across the pool and built-in spa.

No shortcuts. No quick cover-ups. Just quality workmanship that’s built to last. 💪💦

If your pool is peeling, blistering or showing signs of a poor resurfacing job, get in touch.

A proper fibreglass pool resurfacing job doesn’t stop at the waterline 👌

Where required, we lift the surrounding edge pavers to expose the entire top lip of the pool. This allows us to prepare and resurface the full shell, wrapping the new fibreglass system properly over the edge instead of leaving a weak or unfinished section hidden beneath the paving.

The pool is then thoroughly sanded and inspected, with any osmosis, cracks, delamination or damaged fibreglass repaired before applying the new fibreglass, fill coat and Aquaguard gelcoat finish.

It takes a little more work, but it means the entire pool is completed properly—not just the areas you can see.

A common issue we see with older fibreglass pools is the original gelcoat becoming worn, faded and porous.

Once the surface loses its smooth, sealed finish, dirt, staining and algae can grab hold—making the pool harder to clean and maintain, even when the water chemistry is right.

That’s where we can help. We properly prepare the existing surface, repair damaged areas, apply new fibreglass where required and finish the pool with a premium Aquaguard gelcoat.

The result? A smooth, sealed and easy-to-maintain surface that gives the entire pool a fresh new lease on life.

⚠️ IS YOUR FIBREGLASS POOL BLISTERING?

Small bubbles, raised blisters, dark spots or rough patches can be signs of osmosis developing beneath your pool’s gelcoat. Left untreated, the surface can continue to deteriorate and eventually begin peeling or delaminating.

Fibreglass pool resurfacing is specialist work. We don’t simply cover the damage with another coating. Our process includes:

✔ Removing failed and contaminated material
✔ Repairing damaged fibreglass laminate
✔ Applying a vinyl ester resin system
✔ Restoring the surface with fibreglass fill coat
✔ Finishing with premium UV-stable Aquaguard gelcoat

Perth Pool Resurfacing specialises in diagnosing and repairing fibreglass pool failures properly—restoring the pool’s strength, smooth finish and appearance.

📅 We’re currently taking bookings for the start of 2027.

If your pool is showing blisters, black spots, peeling or surface deterioration, call or message Perth Pool Resurfacing now to arrange an assessment.
