Backyard transformation currently underway 🔨

The owners wanted to completely refresh their outdoor entertaining area and pool surrounds, replacing the old timber decking with a more modern, low-maintenance setup designed to better connect the home and pool area.

Works currently underway include:
• Removal of the existing timber deck
• New exposed aggregate concrete around the pool and alfresco
• Construction of a brand new custom pergola entertaining area

Amazing how much a space can change even before the final finishes go on.

Looking forward to sharing the completed result soon.

One of the things I enjoy most about custom building is seeing how homes evolve over time with the families living in them.

We originally worked closely with these clients to help design and build this home around entertaining, natural light, and taking advantage of the incredible outlook.

A few years later, we came back to further extend and improve the outdoor living area and sunroom space to better suit how the family was using the home day to day.

That’s the advantage of working closely with clients from the beginning — the home continues to grow with them.

Still one of my favourite projects to look back on.

FULL HOME TRANSFORMATION | OCEAN GROVE

This was a major renovation and extension project we completed in Ocean Grove towards the end of 2025 for repeat clients who came back to us to completely rework and modernise their home.

The project involved a substantial rear extension, full internal renovation, upgraded outdoor spaces, custom joinery, new entertaining areas, and a complete overhaul of the home’s functionality and layout.

From the polished concrete floors and custom kitchen through to the hardwood screening, deck areas, and detailed finishes throughout, this build was all about creating a home that felt modern, practical, and built to last.

There was a huge amount of work behind the scenes on this one, and it was great seeing the final result come together for clients who were an absolute pleasure to work with.

Back in 2011, we took on a major renovation project at a home on Autumn Street, Geelong West.
From the moment we stepped on site, we stripped the interior back to its bones and completely reimagined the exterior façade.
