PSA!!! Please make sure if you are getting your solar panels scanned by an appointed technician from your insurance company make sure of these 3 things:

1. Not a cloudy day
2. Your panels are not in shade
3. That it is between the hours of 10-2.

I usually don't do thermal scanning outside of the hours of 10-1 due to potential shading and this is when the panels are producing the most power. It is dependent on what direction your panels have also.
The point is there are so many reports of subcontractors doing scans whenever and with poor weather conditions and this skews the results dramatically. I had to get mine scanned today (as per the insurance company) and he did the scan at 2:30pm, with partial shade and partial cloud with my inverter in off grid mode. So my system wasn't even pulling enough power to show hot spots. I'm very disappointed that this is happening but not surprised. You can definitely get a second opinion and don't be scared to force the matter.
If you want a second opinion I can definitely help you with a proper scan and report. Feel free to send me a message if you have concerns.
