This stubborn stump had wrapped itself around a water pipe—but Stump Daddy knows when to be gentle and when to bring the muscle.

⚠️ CASE STUDY: When stump grinding meets a hidden gas line.

This job looked straightforward at first — a row of Yakka stumps needing removal.

But when Mitch noticed the gas meter, he knew this wasn’t a “just turn up and grind” situation.

After investigating, he found a gas line running directly beneath the stumps. In some areas, it was only around 100–200mm below ground.

Before any grinding happened, services were located, depths were confirmed, a licensed plumber was involved, and the gas was safely isolated where needed.

On this one job, Mitch had to work around:

✔ Power
✔ Stormwater
✔ Sewer

Stumps removed safely.

Everyone thinks stump grinding is the difficult part.

Sometimes the difficult part is getting a machine to and from the stump without redecorating the client's landscaping. 😅
